Some additions I like, a few I hate. But let's put all that aside for a second. I think CCP needs to get their priority straight here about which are the most vital parts of the game that needs to be improved.
We don't need more meetings about what the next iteration of the Amarr Emperor scenario is going to be. While I applaud CCP's efforts to add more story to their game, I don't think that's what they should be assigning any braincells into right now.
Number One: FIX THE MEMORY LEAKS. It was bad before, now it's absolutely horrendous. My 512 machine now plays worse than my 256 machine did before the patch. I doubt too many will disagree with me when I say the memory leak issue is public enemy number one right now.
Number Two: FIX AUTOPILOT. Again, this thing was bad before, now if becomes almost completely unusable after about 30 minutes of jumping, and in rare cases, totally unsuable. It would refuse to set destinations, set your starting point as the destination, refuse to recognize jumps already made. Autopilot isn't just for long distance routes, it's for getting around in the EVE universe, and right now, it's a total mess.
I suspect that the autopilot problem is linked directly to the Memory Leaks. This is backed by the fact that autopilot seems to have the most problems on return trips. Suggesting that a previous destination set by the player was not dumped from the memory. Hense the problem of setting a destination only to have the game show the destination as your current location. Also shown by the cases where jumps that were just made not registering, causing the menu to show the next jump as the system you are already in.
THEN, and ONLY THEN, should we start worrying about the interface. Right now, the interface has some problems, most range from clunky to downright annoying. I liked some of the changes, such as being able to show info directly on items in the Reprocessing Plant, the new faction ratings that show you good, bad, neutral, very helpful. But the mailbox, well, I think you've already heard enough about what's wrong with that thing.
People and Places no longer sort your folder bookmarks by alphbetical order. Instead, it sorts it by when you've added it to the folder. Stupid.
I think just the first two should keep CCP busy for a month or two. Then we can start worrying about the rest. There's no point in polishing an apple full of worms.
