EVERYONES INPUT WAS AWESOME AND ALOT OF GREAT STUFF WAS DISCUSSED!!! THANK YOU ALL WHO PERTICIPATED!
Please "help me" choose the best one !!!
PLEASE CHOOSE A NUMBER LISTED IN FRONT OF "ONE" OF THE FIVE TRICKS
ALT POSTING WILL BE HIGHLY FROWNED UPON
Remember the winner gets 10 million ISK and a Purifier Amarrian Bomber

FOUR - Th'Orn - Posted - 2006.04.29 04:27:00 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- At any station that you use often, undock in an interceptor, then without moving, manually align your ceptor so its in a straight line out from the undock point. Go in that direction and hit the MWD, go for about 1000 or 2000 kilometers and stop, bookmark the spot. Then go dock and undock again, as soon as you have loaded and can see things, warp to the bookmark, you will instantly warp away before anyone can even lock you. Even in a battleship. This is very useful if you are being camped and need to get out of the station, or if you have a fleet of yours in the station and you need to get into space and get ready to fight. Now, wheres my bomber?

FIVE - TheKiller8 - Posted - 2006.04.28 10:47:00 - [97] - Quote -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If your safespot is more than 3au from any celestial object you can do 3au 360 scans with your scanner without using overview settings. This will reveal scan probes which in turn tells you if someone is trying to bust your safespot or not. This doesn't work very well if your safespot is close to a celestial object as your scanner will be spammed by all the roids, belts, rats, cans, etc.
While cloaked always try to activate a module like a sensor booster or armor repper. If the mod activates it means your client might show that you are cloaked but the server (and thus everyone else) sees you as uncloaked. This bug doesn't happen often but it happens.
When positioning your interdictor on the center of a gate. Always ask someone else to check if you're actually near the center of the gate. Doing a lot of micro movements in and out a gate can easily un-sync your clients position with your actual position on the server. I've had situations where I appeared to be on the center of a gate while my actual position was 6km off! This is the same thing that happens when you move through a belt and bump off the rocks a lot (or even worse try to warp)

ONE - Igneus Posted - 2006.05.02 01:43:00 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Fed up of running out of space in your frigate when cleaning up a battlefield. ? Cans spread all over the place, and would take you for ever to collect them all in a hauler ? Fit a tractor to a fast frigate, warp in and drop a can from the frigate. Tractor it and drag it behind you, filling the can up as you move around. Once you have collected all the seperate cans into one, warp back in with your large cargo space ship, and have only one can to pick up. If in a deadspace area, remember to drag the can back to the warp in location...

I like #1 because i havent seen it before and its pretty innovative.
Also as a secondary comment for the undock and warp one, one of my corpmates made a similar bm for a chokepoint entry into 0.0, jump and warp, gets me past the gate camp every time.

#1 gets my vote
although i wish you could add this to your top5(6) since it's the best trick i know and i use it every day
--------------- When moving to a distant system in EVE, in an interceptor or any travel-friendly ship/setup, put your mwd in the top left slot or the F1-slot and put something heavy on your f1 button and go afk and eat or watch TV or something, in stead of sitting there using instas or mwd'ing every time you start approaching a gate.

If enough people think this is valid and is good enough to compete with the 5 listed, I will make it a "write in" ... as actually this is a good one. (This does NOT mean everyone that adds a trick now will get written in). Do not forget to add this to the original thread that started this.

Edited by: Greenwing on 09/05/2006 07:04:16 Only thing about trick #1, a nano-fitted sigil can do the same job in less time (max speed to fly with a ship tractoring a can is 500m/s). Only with some lvl4's where a lot of big loot drops (metal scraps ... ) it's cargohold isn't big enough and you have to fly twice (but the trick also needs you to fly once with a frig and once with a hauler). I do like the idea though
i'd go for 6 though, it's the only trick i didn't know yet and sounds very handy

Well #1 is pretty useless to me.
#2 is funny, but might get you in trouble with GMs.
#3, 4, and 5 are all great tips, but I already knew them.
Since I learned #3 most recently and I in fact learned it from Shamis, I'll vote that one.

How is it an exploit? It doesn't give you an advantage, it won't work against smart people as you haven't locked them but the can. Or if you have, the red outline on their box won't show as it is not aggressive towards you (another ship not the can ).

I used to know a player who inpersonated npc's at a gate with the character name, serp.enis potroller, and often had targets in high security fire at her. A similar trick, and it got her banned ifi recall correctly.

Because the GM's said it was
Take this to the bank....
Please have a GM or moderator clairfy this or post a quote from a GM or Mod (agaisnt EULA by the way) stating this is fact please. Not that I do not doubt you, but I have seen no proof of this being and exploit beyond people saying CCP states it is.
One: the mods would have jacked this thread and the above questionable exploit quickly...if in fact it was not allowed.
Two: This is no different then sitting around and shooting people in high sec with snowballs and watching concordoken happen, as they shoot you back, and you scoop up the loot. I have witnessed this myself a few times.
Three: It is things like this that keep eve open ended.
Evil or not it is a valid tactic and ploy and trick.
When a GM pops in or a moderator or such and tells me that this is in fact and exploit then I would think for sure it is. To me it is a very grey area..... ..I dont do bad kharma stuff anyway
This could be done with guns or anything by the way and doesnt have to be a warp scrambler or webbifier.

I'm not seeing the utility of #1 tbh. You can't tow at more than 500m/s, which isn't exactly fast. You can make a Sigil pass 700m/s for less than a mil, and my looting Augoror hits something like 600m/s, has 1k cargo space and four tractors.

Your pod will appear in space and your ship will dock itself and go to your hanger - you can then go collect that ship you found in space or travel around in your pod.
Can't check this right now, but if this works it is indeed the best trick, no need to buy shuttles for millions in 0.0 anymore - just undock, eject, dock and go in your pod. :)
