Has anybody used the eagle for level 4 missions?
How about ratting?
Are they possible? If so, would a blaster setup be prefered?
I know the advantages for PvP, ie Sniping, but could this be a valid tactic on missions?

It is a wonderful ship for lvl 4's.
I use a blaster setup since you need them for extra dmg and to take out frigs.
The range bonus is wonderful for blasters since they will have enough range to take out most orbiting frigs and cruisers without ab'ing towards them.
setup i use:
4* heavy neut 2, 2* arbalest heavy
med SBII, webber, 2hardnersII
2*pduII and 2*mag stab II
it finishes most level 4's with ease.
I've given up using a dom for lvl 4's the eagmle is usually faster and much more fun.

Have you ever tried using the optimal bonuses with rails? Obviously a bad idea when using deadspace gates, since no immediate distance from the rats.
When ratting in belts tho, maybe a sniper setup could work?

indeed i have an AB2 in mids.
I didn't try the range bonus on rails tbh, i just warp in at 15km and fry everything with AM

previous suggested setup is good, but no way you can run all that indefinatly. swap the med booster out for a small gistii and you'd be fine.

I've had good luck so far with a passively tanked Beagle (AB, 2xLarge Sh. Ext II, 2x Hardeners) for level 4 missions but haven't tried to solo any difficult ones yet.

actually with maxed cap skills i can almost run it forever, i think the last level of shield compensation might do the trick
