I have removed some rule breaking posts and those quoting them. As always I let some edge cases stay. Please people, keep it on topic and above all civil!
The Rules: 4. Personal attacks are prohibited.
Commonly known as flaming, personal attacks are posts that are designed to personally berate or insult another forum user. Posts of this nature are not beneficial to the community spirit that CCP promote and as such they will not be tolerated.
5. Trolling is prohibited.
Trolling is a defined as a post that is deliberately designed for the purpose of angering and insulting other players in an attempt to incite retaliation or an emotional response. Posts of this nature are disruptive, often abusive and do not contribute to the sense of community that CCP promote.
22. Post constructively.
Negative feedback can be very useful to further improve EVE Online provided that it is presented in a civil and factual manner. All users are encouraged to honestly express their feelings regarding EVE Online and how it can be improved. Posts that are non-constructive, insulting or in breach of the rules will be deleted regardless of how valid the ideas behind them may be. Users are also reminded that posting with a lack of content also constitutes non-constructive posting.
26. Off-topic posting is prohibited.
Off-topic posting is permitted within reason, as sometimes a single comment may color or lighten the tone of discussion. However, excessive posting of off-topic remarks in an attempt to derail a thread may result in the thread being locked, or a forum warning being issued.
31. Rumor mongering is prohibited.
Rumor threads and posts which are based off no actual solid information and are designed to either troll or annoy other users will be locked and removed. These kinds of threads and posts are detrimental to the well being and spirit of the EVE Online Community, and can create undue panic among forum users, as well as adding to the workload of our moderators. I'd cast my votes for the candidates pushing for on-grid boosts. Only problem is, I haven't found a place where I can easily see who is supporting that. I only know about DJ FunkyBacon being in that camp. |

For the first time I am actually at a loss who to vote for.
None of the candidates really stand out for me, none of their posts have ever made me think "yeah this guy/girl would be great.
This might be the first time I do not actually vote for the CSM and not because of anything that CCP has done, just simply because none of the candidates stand out from the crowd.

Surely Psychotic Monk should be #1, given the rest of the herd is just repeats of the same 'middle grounders' who won't fight for sandbox play like Monk will, and allow nerfs to the game to continue unchecked.

While I haven't stated it my campaign thread, I want boosts to be on-grid.
CCP are, I believe, working towards that atm. There are some technical problems they're working through, WRT TQ melting with the required tests, but they are working on it.
(AOE things which are constant are painful. Bubbles aren't, as they're only checked on module activation. links would require constant checks to see who is in range.) Only if carebear mining links are selfsame changed. Warfare links today (I believe) no longer operate outside a POS shield, yet mining links still do. Why do the little bears get a different link behaviour than pvp players? Is there no JUSTICE?
If warfare links go 'on grid', then selfsame mining links must also, and Orca's no longer lazily sit behind POS shield or hug a station in safety. Would you like to know more? |

Well, the ships which are used for the various warfare links have been rebalanced.
The mining command ships haven't. It was stated at the time that the warfare links were blocked, that they weren't blocking the mining links, till after a rebalance. https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=3426134#post3426134
Of course, right now warfare link ships aren't really at any risk, as they can orbit just outside of said POS shield, and duck inside if someone turns up. I cannot find 14 people who I would like as CSM, so the ability to fill the other slots with a 'NO' vote would be nice, as there are plenty of people I personally feel should not represent me on the CSM. |
