For those who don't know there has been a 20 man tornado isboxed gank fleet killing incursion runners.
Today on comms I heard claims that CCP have been reimbursing the ships lost to gankers if the gankers were using ISboxer. If this is indeed accurate this needs looking into. Its a slippery slope, next you will reimburse for normal ganks, then for normal losses.
Rule 1 of eve, don't fly it if you cant afford to loose it. If these losses were reimbursed I am very disappointed, very disappointed indeed. |

Why would using ISBoxer entitle someone to a reimbursement? It's kinda pathetic that some guy cannot find a dozen like-minded guys and has to resort to software for his ganks, but it doesn't change anything about the gank itself. |

Its actually a good question, whether the loss to isBoxed gank should be reimbursed or not. Arguments on both sides are valid.
On one hand, if guy has 20 accounts, he has a right to use them simultaneously as he sees fit. And how is being ganked by 20 isBoxer nadoes different from being ganked by 20 regular pirates?
On the other hand, isBoxing in gank PvP specifically is a very unfair advantage over regular guys - instantaneous reaction time, flawless execution, etc. isBoxer is a very useful tool for PvP scenarios where precision strike is required. Not so much in regular free-flowing combat, where it may be restrictive, but for ganks, its amazing tool.
So I dont know if I would object to a reimbursement. Where do you draw a line? I use alts as scouts/falcons/combat cynos etc. Not isBoxed, but multi-boxed - similar thing in principle.
I would probably come to a compromise. Reimburse first vindi loss, say second wont be reimbursed. And keep eye on isBoxing guys - if its just 1 or 2 dudes who do it in high sec, let them. If it grows uncontrollably, well, then CCP has a problem. |

that guy and his 20 man tornado fleet is an absolute blast.
he was there last night, he lost 1 ship to a killright, he then lost 2 ships in 2 sites due to warping into a site 5 minutes after it was started, pulling new wave aggro and then he lost 2 more after i, bumped 2 of his ships out of align on the gate before they took it. He then inexplicably immediately warped his guys out of the site but not waiting for the 2 that i bumped, they sat there and were also killed.
