What HAC is better in your opinions? State pvp and pve experiences, setups, and so on if you would like.
Thanks

Eagle IMO, I prefer instant damage over..... f1-f5... 1 second.... lame lame lame.... 2 seconds.... what does the news say?..... 3 seconds...... I'm hungry..... 4 seconds.... "your missile hit for 283 damage on bla bla bla target"

They are both good in both pvp and pve, just fly which ever you can afford if your skills are similar in gunnery and missiles. Id also say T2 weaponary is a must for these ships as their dps is low compared to other HACs.

Personally I'm unconvinced by the Eagle in PVE... As it has no drone bay I'd worry about NPC inties & friggies scrambling me, in either a rail or blaster setup. Unless I'm missing something of course (like the inties, hehe)...
Cerb is awesome for NPCing though... Supposed to be very strong for PVP, but not really seen them in action too much.
Eagle is a great sniper in PVP and can surprise people a lot with a blaster setup.

Cerebus. As 'boring' as it may be to fight in them they just do insane damage with the right skills. (And you shouldnt be in one if you dont have the right skills) so if you want damage - cerebus. Sniping-Eagle. PVE- Cerebus.
Cerebus gets 2 out of 3. And its more versatile.

I fly both in PvE - not sure I'd like to fly a Cerberus PvP but I'd consider an Eagle. In both cases, I run active tanks.
PvE Cerberus edges it for me with the simple F1-F5 ease of missiles at all ranges up to 100km - what can I say, I am lazy. Although the Eagle does have a better tank.
However, I also fly a blaster Eagle (Beagle?) for PvE which is great fun - does more damage with tech 2 neuts than the cerberus but has a much shorter effective range (the range bonus of the eagle actually helps here somewhat). Spider drones and fast frigates are nicely slowed by a stasis web.
Cerberus setup: 5 heavy IIs, tractor beam:2 small gisti, shield amp, invuln II, 10Mn AB:2 BCS II, PDS II, Damage Control
PvP I'd consider taking my Eagle into PvP (haven't done so yet) but fitted with rails for fleet-range engagements....although I can't help but think that it would be a nasty surprise for the tackler that tried to tackle a Beagle.

Every time I decide to take something other than my Eagle into fleet/gang patrols the inevitable enemy interceptor warps in on us at about 130k and sits there laughing because no one can hit him.
In other words, for PVP, the Eagle makes for a great spyswatter when in gangs. I love it when they don't notice you because they're relaying "such and such a BS, 3 raxes, 1 MOA, 2 geddons, lol they're locking me. it's ok they can't hit m- Oh **** i'm in a pod!"

Basicly what you guys have been saying is that the Cerberus is not really good in pvp. My other question is how do I gank people in pvp solo? Do I have to run the Beagle setup? And will it take out a battleship?

If you want a gank, you're going to need a battleship. Armageddon, Megathron, Tempest, maybe Raven (although torps are damned slow for ganking).
A Deimos is really the only ganker among them, and you'd probably just do better with a battleship.
Now, as for Eagle vs Cerberus, I know I'd go for the Eagle. That's mostly because (A) I love guns, specifically rails (B) I love sniping, and (C) I don't have any missile skills.
Oh and check my ingame bio.
Over 588 damage with a 250mm Railgun II, and that wasn't even with Javelin M...good old tech 1 antimatter. -------- Tom Thumb > for a nut case you rawk [04:21:15] Mebrithiel Ju'wien > Nik's bio 4tw btw [07:38:53] Graelyn > Nikolai for Dev 108!

I just recently started doing level 4 missions in my Cerberus. So far it's been a breeze. It is definately a good PVE ship. I can't say anything about it's PVP abilities though. ---------------

While the Eagle can mount a rather insane tank in the proper setup, I'd rather use a cerb. Would be cheaper to just stick a ****load on tracking comps on a BS if you need to snipe inties 130km away.
They get anycloser and you can just let the fleet's AF/destroyer blow them straight to hell.

Erm, no, we're talking more like 200km. -------- Tom Thumb > for a nut case you rawk [04:21:15] Mebrithiel Ju'wien > Nik's bio 4tw btw [07:38:53] Graelyn > Nikolai for Dev 108!

I dont know much about the Eagle, but I know the Cerberus well. It is a great ship for PVE. I will even list my setup, although it is on the high scale side of setups.
Highs:5 heavy II's
Mids:1 Gist X-type Large shield booster 2 Pith B-type EM shield hardners 1 cap recharger II 1 Large Peroxide cap battery
Lows: 3 PDU II's 1 BCU II
With moderate skills, you can run the shield tank 24/7 and keep 50% cap. It is almost brainless.

I'd go for a Beagle, insane tank and in your face blasters with good range so if you're not webbed you could *actually* orbit at 6-7k __________________

Hhmm I find the Cerberus very nice for NPCing, not having to bother about optimal to the rats etc, just flying in the belt, F1-F5 and see em go down.
The Eagle/Beagle is quite nice at is as well though, I am still a couple of day away from Tech II Rails and Blasters, but it does more dmg it seems than the cerb, and if you like Turrets, go for the Eagle.
On the PvP-Side, Imho it comes down a lot on if you like missiles or turrets. Another point is, a Cerb costs you 220-250mil, an Eagle 100mil.

How is the cap recharge on your setup (with invulnerabilities)?

due to the price of Cerb's Eagle would be best option, from what ive seen they can make good snipers or fit nasty tanks, but if you want to splash the cash go for Cerb- Spam Spam Spam
