As to all those on the 1-st page, saying ohnoes, why you need 10 alliances to fight them, why kil them, let's have just fun fights, etc, etc. The answer to this is obvious, BoB played Eve as an RTS, and in RTS you win when your enemy is off the map.That was their goal in fighting their enemies. On the larger scale they were not intersted in fun fights, they were interested in victory (nothing wrong with that too). So, if someone returnes them the favour, what's wrong with that.
