Apologies if these topics have already been raised in the past.
1. Question The numbers next to my ten extractor heads sum up to 349,98 but I can't relate this to the later output, neither in units of raw material nor to m3 yield. The average yield for the first hour is 11427, for the total 15-hour period it is 10004/hr. Can anybody explain to me what the numbers next to extractor heads indicate? I know that they should be maximized to have a higer yield, but how exactly are they being transformed in yield (raw materila units per time)?
2. Question As I will start PI in a Wormhole in a few days, I would like to know what the expected yield for ten extractor heads within a 24-hour period could be, in relation to the concentration of raw material on a planet (e.g. 30K Units/hour for 24 hours with 80% concentration of this raw material etc.).
I know that these are very specific questions and only relevant for more obsessed PI-ler. Neither the tutorials on Youtube nor the Eve PI-Channel could deliver any answer so far. So thanks you very much for your time and sharing of experience, it is much appreciated

the yield of PI extractors fluctuates quite a lot and tends to deteriorate over time. if i were you, i would just eyeball it and not waste too much time obsessing over the exact numbers.

1. The values you see on the extractors are only your estimated readings. They will differ to the actual results depending on one of your PI skills (Remote sensing I think, not sure). The distance you are from the planet influences the accuracy of your heatmap. The extraction rates are also affected by other people with extractors in that planet.
2. I don't think anyone bothers with keeping track of actual values. Just find a planet that interests you with a good concentration of whatever you're extracting.

In a wormhole, with 10 extractor heads, you'll extract enough R0 to be able to keep 6 to 9 basic industry factories running 24/7 with only needing to relocate the extractor control unit every few weeks. |
