So August will make one year that I have been playing (its almost been a year since fountain. which brought me to the game) and when i first started I proclaimed on these forums about zomg pewing in ships = much adrenaline , such wow. Annnnd than i had the vets come in...NO YOU CANT HAVE FUN, THAT ADRENALINE WILL WEAR OFF!! they proclaimed. well, i took a month off recently as RL had me going in every direction imaginable except the direction that led to my computer. Ive been back 4 days, and have won 4 fights, lost 6 almost 200 mil isk and have had a smile on my face the entire time. When you have a thrasher in structure when youre in an atron and you dont get all shaky, you're playing the game wrong., or have extremely low blood pressure and should seek medical attention.
To the new players coming in, SP doesnt matter, you wanna pvp? go pew, lose ships, for the love of the amarrian gods have fun, worry about thermodynamics later, learn about tracking, and tracking speed, just play how you wanna play. to the bitter vets who said that adrenaline would wear off, you were massively wrong and in a way i wish you still experinced the game as I do, with a smile, not by station spinning, but buy watching 13 million isk go up in a spectacle of fire and sparks with the words capsule ejected above where youre modules used to be. we may all proclaim EVE = RL but until i sit in a condor with light missles and warp to a sun at 100km its a game, have fun guys
TL;DR: Bitter vets are wrong, much pew, such boom, many wow, and grr goons (i think that covers everything) "Here's to the crazy ones. The Misfits, The rebels. The Troublemakers. The round pegs in the square holes.-á |

Once upon a time I was just like you!
So young and inexperienced.
When I first did PVP, I had the shakes, my heart was pounding away, sweated bullets. Over time you got used to it and these slowly faded away. You missed "the rush" so you went onto other forms of PVP. Ganking, awoxing, large engagements, you name it!
The more you pew pew, the faster it goes away!
So, congratulations on your 4 kills! That's "impressive".......no no it really is!
And, since I don't get the shakes anymore, that means I have low blood pressure or I don't know how to play the game anymore?
Really? Bold statement! New player experience, more highsec PvE missions, casual play, balance, counters to AFK cloaking, expanding the NEX store, and Power Projection.

That's impossible. A new player couldn't be talking about losing the adrenaline rush because being new, he'd have never been able to experience it in the first place.

Good to see noobs jumping into the fray and enjoying PvP, instead of complaining about SP gaps, and demanding dumb crap.
Bittervets won't tell you stuff like that. Bittervets are the ones you obviously listened to. Don't let the title fool you. We're not really all that bitter. We just get really tired of the noobs who demand the game be re-tailored to give them the advantage.
PS: I've been doing this since day 1, and I *still* get the jitters, in PvP. It doesn't go away, and that's one of the many reasons I love EVE. That moment when you realize the crazy lady with all the cats was right... |

Posting your killmails is really all about "bragging rights". Having fun should be your main goal in PvP. But being able to look back on BC and see exactly HOW MUCH fun you've had in EVE.... well, that's always a nice feeling. All I'm saying, by mentioning that. I've been playing since mid 2007, with maybe 4 months break in that time, have over 4000 kills and I still get adrenalin when fighting. Not from fleet stuff as that's pretty boring but proper small gang or 1v1 solo close fights, especially when I'm in a 500+ mill ship.
I would imagine the people that told you that are sov holding bitter vets who do nothing more then anchor up and f1. |

Of course we did it again and then again, the dream unfolded as before and the sparks flew earlier and earlier. Finally we just skip the screening and wave middle fingers at each other with nary a smile when we pass. |

Bitter anyone is wrong - Im a SweetVet, here since beta - And I will confirm brave young newb OP's claim.
- SP Does not matter, you can have fun and be helpful to even big alliances in a week,
- Time in game does not matter. It's been ten years for me, I have 140+ million SP and I still get a rush during some engagements. I still have different ships to fly and things to do if I want to.
The fact is, at the end of the day, the only things that matters is your attitude and your willingness to do something different. Don't listen to the bittervets, doing something for a long time does not necessarily mean you are good at it. Besides, you really have to question the advise of anyone who continues to pay for a game they seem to be bored with. Primary Test Subject GÇó SmackTalker Elite |

Nope, it just means that you have combat reflexes, are cool under pressure and are a professional. You are a capsular. Dumbing down of Eve Online will result in it's destruction... |
