You are fooling yourselves thinking that an act of priracy of another can be performed by a person of honor. By honor's very definition, an act of piracy demonstrates as fact the complete and utter lack of honor.

Put then pirates should not be trusted even when asking for said trust.

I enjoy killing pirates far more than they enjoy killing me, I can tell when they whine in local that it wasn't a fair fight to blob them. I do not hunt pirate to be able to fight them fairly, I hunt them when I am confident our gang can not only mop the floor with them but utterly teach them that where we fly they will be hunted. The difference between how i hunt pirates and how pirates hunt prey, is simply honor. We had a pirate once offer a 100million to let his pod go... I can say confidently it was far more satisfying to send the thug an immediate one-way ticket to it's medical cloning facility.

In closing, because there are pirates in eve there are also group like ours that hunt pirates. And I have come to realize that while I detest piracy, pirates do make the game more enjoyable by providing a morally valid target to aggress and destroy.
