So, I came up with a setup for an arma in quickfit. Seems to do good dps :D with 4x Ogre Is I pump out 488 DPS vs structure. I tested it in quickfit vs a Serpentis Baron(Im fighting serpentis spawns) and It does 304 average DPS after resists. 4x Ogre Is because I need the 5x small drones to pop frigates.
The Ogre Is really pump out major DPS :D
Dunno seems like a nice setup, the Tank runs forever without the nos if you turn off the guns. With the dual nos and guns running the tank runs forever!
Here it is, Any suggestions welcome.

Your mids are totally wrong and your tank isn't strong enough to handle serious 00 spawns. Drop the afterburner and the web for two more cap rechargers. Fit a second LAR on that at all costs. Drop a nos and fit the seventh gun. A rack of Warriors plus your remaining nos will do just fine against random inty ganksquads.

i use
7x Mega Pulse Heavy nos
100mn AB eutic cap charger web
Large accom 3 hardeners 2 heatsinks 1 cap relay PDS
makes short work of pretty much any serpentis spawn.

Edited by: Cruz on 13/05/2006 03:13:12 Thats nice fmercury. Thats basically my setup with different high slots. I would fit that if
1. I could afford modulated mega pulse 2. I had advanced weapon upgrades :D
and I dunno I think the tank itself is pretty strong since it runs forever and decent resists... If I need stronger maybe ill dump the webber for a recharger and a CPR for a med rep II. ................. |

Originally by: Cruz The AB is kinda needed since teh dual heavy pulse are close range weapons. Could always drop the Web though for a second cap recharger, drop a CPR and fit a Med Rep II.
Serpentis and Angels fly right up to you, so you don't have to worry that much about making range like you would vs. Guristas.

Most of them do, some of them use rails though and like to go 34km+ out. ................. |

Try npc'ing serps before you post, ok? There are several serp BS's htat dont use blasters, and BC's, and cruisers.
On topic, I have hunted Serps a looot and i always favour Arma because no ammo is the win when you want to park in a good system for a while.
My setup is: 7 Modulated mega pulse, 1 Medium nos II Afterburner, 2 cap-recharger II Large+Medium armor rep II, 2+2 Kinetic/Thermal hardeners, Heatsink II, cap-relay Hammerheads for killing frigs and blaster-cruisers that are tricky even when playing the transversal-game with pulses. I usually only carry Multifreq crystals cause i'm a lazy **** and with the afterburner you can easily maintain range to within 20km.
I can tank and kill any spawn including the 'hardest' officer Serps have and I rarely even need to run the large repper. They do pathetic damage especially when you run 4 hardeners ;) ___________________________ Brutors Rule! My Eve-vids; Click. |

With 0.0 spawns I think you are better off with the 1 LAR setup in the geddon. With a set of megapulse II's you can realy chew through your spawns alot faster so you dont need to tank very long at all.

I take out 3 x 1.7 m spawn without probs with this setup
7 x Modulated mega pulse 1 x Heavy dim
2 x Euth 1 x Named 100 mn AB
3 x Active hardner (depending dmg) 3 x HeatSink T2 1 x Cap relay 1 x Large armor rep
I have 5 x small & 4 x Heavy drones , small drones to take out warpscrambling frigs . Kills fast enough without the need to worry about repair

My usual NPC'ing setup is.
Highs 7xMega Beams w/ Multifrequency crystals 1xfaction/named smartbomb
Mids 1xTracking enhancer 3xCap rechargers
Lows 1xLg armor rep 4xHardeners 1xcap relay 1xPDU
Drones 1xBeserker SW-900 2xValkyrie TP-600 2xValkyries
Have no clue what the dps is nor do I care but I do go through just about any fight vs NPC's without running out of cap. the SB is good for those nasty rats that like to get real close preferably a faction SB but other with suffice. The drones help slow down smaller ships so the megabeams can hit them. Used this vs Sansha pirate mainly cuz If I go anywhere else I get shot at.

Used this when i ratted sanshas for a short while: 7x modulated megapulse, 1x tractor beam 3x cap recharger II LAR II, 2x therm, 1x EM hardeners, cpr, 3x HS II
Worked like a charm... Alternatively can replace 1 cap II with AB II and drop 1 HS II for a CPR... I didn't need to tho.
