well i have been playing eve now for almost 2 months... i have been very impressed with the gameplay. when the latest patch came out i was excited to see all the new features the game had to offer. about 1 day after i got the new patch i was getting very odd problems... the first and most annoying is that when i use my map and have my mouse hover over a system i get the name of that system, and also i get other information depending on what i want to display... well that doesnt happen... at all and sometimes the lines between systems disappears completely. well the other glitch is when i use my mid slots to be more specific... the afterburners when i use them i get a CTD and an interesting error

well so i got upset and sent in a message to ccp support thinking well i pay money and i should get a response soon... well sooner than 2 weeks. i was amazed to get a response from them so soon this was the message

... well i guess it could be worse... i may not even be able to play the game at all atleast i can change my skill and hope for the best.

Very same prob with map over here.
Annoying as hell, if you can't figure out, where (and which of) your corp or gang mates are.

Is there any fix to the map problem because Im getting the same problems and I relay a lot on the information the map used to offer. It just isnt accessable anymore. Plz fix ASAP along with the lag and the node crashes etc.

things i have done to try and fix both of these errors...
1. I deleted the cache completely at least 5 times... didnt fix
2. I reinstalled the game 3-4 times... didnt fix
3. I installed on a brand new Hard Drive but same machine... didnt fix
4. I had my friend log on to my account and check the problem... it worked fine for him...
Conclusion... My hardware somewhere along the line got messed up, and im not sure where because i have not had this problem before the patch. So the problem its between the Video Card, Motherboard, Memory, and Cpu.
I guess I'll have to buy another system

That's hardly a problem of your and our hardware. But it 'may' be a problem how this hardware is being addressed by tthe code of the new patch, which 'may' be the cause of the prob in some environments, while it is still fine in others.

Btw: flushing cache and re-installing game did not help me either.

Well it must be something with the graphic cards. After the last patch it doesnŠt seems to be working fine with the GeForceFX series.

I have the map problem too. As a matter of fact, I get no "tool tips" when my mouse hovers over anything anymore. The only exceptions are the vallet after playing for a while and the refit screen about 20% of the time...
I run an AMD XP2800 with a gfx5600 card.

Im glad to see im not the only one suffering here. Can the devs plz post here and tell us of any possable solutions or when its going to be adressed. I maen it was working fine last patch

This is an old problem that was fixed sometime back. A number of bugs have been re-introduced which were fixed around June time IIRC, such as the map, the ap, the market runtime error and agent bugs.

Rest assured, this is not a hardware problem for you.
This feature works on and off for me. It's the same install/cache both when it works and when it doesn't.
I imagine that this has to do with how busy the server is. I think it's related to the same connection issues that refuse to let the map open at all.

consider yourselves lucky, my map will not even come up at all. It worked fine until I changed it to show assets mode. Now It just says locating assets and the load bar goes up and up forever.
Having to depend on the sidebar map (F11) is a major pain in the ass.

I have the assets problem too. Deleting the cache seems to take the map out of 'display assets' mode so the map can be used again. But I would still like to be able to view my assets on the map one day.....

I've got the same problem as you. Nothing helps ... deleting cache, wait for hours ... the map does not come up. It's a bit hard to play this way. Interesting point is that my second char has the same problem ...
I'd really like to get my map back.
