Standing in front of an SPCS Banner in an undisclosed location Archbishop the SPCS Director waits for the room of assembled reporters to quiet down. Brought here in a closed shuttle wearing black hoods the reporters were offered a tour of Port Enlightenment and the slave processing stations modern ammeneties.
"Welcome members of the press" said Director Archbishop as the reporters held up their microphones and cameras.
"Today you have been granted the honor of touring the SPCS station Port Enlightenment. I'm sure you'll agree this facility offers the finest in slave care and processing systems". He paused as a large screen dropped down to his left from the overhead and the image of a slave being led from a Bestower to a dock appeared.
"You've seen the clean comfortable accomodations, the excellent delousing and feeding stations, the caring and compassionate SPCS staff going about their work" the images changed quickly on the screen showing clean holding pens, ample food and water and sanitary stations.
"You've seen the rescue first hand of countless so called "freed slaves" who were rescued from the agony of Vitoc-withdrawl on the streets of Heimatar... who were near death!" the screen showed a Minmatar Brutor male, writering in agony on a stretcher, being injected with Vitoc.... and shortly thereafter him lying peacefully his agony stopped.
"Today you are seeing all this because Port Enlightenment has reached a milestone. 500,000 slaves processed in our first three months of operation!" A large chart appeared showing an upward arrow.
"Processed slaves the last 30 days increased 35% over the previous month. Likewise fatalities in Empire among SPCS affilitated slave holders dropped 46% from vitoc related withdrawl symptoms as Port Enlightenment medical facilities brought much needed vitoc and other healthcare to near dead slaves." Another chart appeared showing an downward arrow indicating the drop in deaths from Vitoc withdrawl.
"Yes Port Enlightenment is a great success. We have God and Amarr to thank for its development. The generous contributions in isk and labor from several SPCS holders have made this dream a successful reality. Thank you all". Director Archbishop raised his hand to indicate his announcement was over.
A dozen hands raised up as the media pressed close. Suddenly to the sides a dozen Kamiera appeared with deadly looking rifles to protect the Director. The media throng suddenly moved back and yelled out questions.
"You sir" said Archbishop to an Amarrian reporter.
"My Lord, the UshraKhan has placed a bounty on Port Enlightenment to discover its location. Are you concerned about its possible destruction?" he asked.
"An excellent question" nodded Archbishop. "No we're not worried. The SPCS is a non-profit charitable organization. We do the work of God and protect these Minmatar who might otherwise be abused. The UK may destroy our facility but they will never conquer our spirit".
More reporters raised their hands and Archbishop pointed to a young Khanid woman.
"Director Archbishop, what would be the damages if Port Enlightenment was destroyed?" she asked.
He nodded and said "The damage would be great to the Minmatar. No more would we be able to treat Vitoc withdrawl in the early stages. Any attack on the facility would cost the lives of thousands of slaves and bring untolled suffering to the needy. Still there is concern which is why the station is protected with heavy weaponry. Still we harbor no illusions. Terrorists may succeed but we are prepared and soon intend to open another slave processing station shortly".
"Stay and celebrate our 500,000th slave processed. You will be returned safely to Empire space shortly. God bless you all and HAIL AMARR!" said Archbishop as he turned and left.

Surely one unfortunate incident, which transpired all those years ago cannot influence the decision of an entire race. Do you have any proof that it was infact an Amarrian that beat you brutally, claiming stories is one thing - having something to found it on is completely another.
I congratulate the Port Enlightenment on this outstanding achievement of collaberation and teamwork, and wish all the best on maintaining its immaculate processing of slave treatment.

Archbishop, Whilst I have tremendous respect for you personally I can't help but think that this facility would not be needed if the empire would abolish slavery and stop poisoning them in the first place. Prevention being better than cure after all.

This abomination must be stopped.
500,000 people cannot be moved without someone noticing. I implore anyone with information on this barbaric slave making facility to contact the Ushra'Khan.
If the pursuit of liberty alone isn't enough to risk the wrath of slavers, then perhaps a reward will help jog the memory. -----------------------------------------

This supposed charity of helping the poor vitoc sufferers conveniently ignores the fact that the vitoc method is a slave population control system. These allegedly rescued former slaves were first exposed to the viri that Vitoc offsets by slave holders. The Amarr are merely re-enslaving these people and calling it humanitarian aid.

This "abomination" as you call it is the savior for all slaves in Amarr. Bringing care standards, feeding guarnatees, hygene and sanitation, innoculation, all once forgotten by many slavers. The SPCS will not falter in its mision.
However recent events have made it clear that Port Enlightenment is a target. Recently the station was subjected to a flyby by a Minmatar in a shuttle. He was not a member of any corporation so we can only assume he is a terrorist spy. The station defenses are not programed to fire on neutrals thus the guns did not destroy the spy.
Thus we must conclude the station has been compromised and plans are underway this weekend to relocate Port Enlightenment. While moving a control tower, over a dozen guns and assorted EW structures as well as the fuel and containers used as housing modules is a tedious job at best it shall be done. Port Enlightenment will be rearmed even more heavily and programmed to kill spy ships on sight.

That was the past. This is the present and the future. Are you so blind that your people do need Vitoc to live? It is better to see them cared by the Amarr than to die of withdrawals. Luckily for you, your merciful parents are forgiving. I, on the other hand just say out of the airlock, you sick varmin. ---------------- RecruitMe@NOINT! Corporate Consultation Services

A static and frayed image suddenly clears, revealing the honorable Deacon Ishtal.
"A glorious achievement Archbishop! I have no doubt that many souls will be saved by your noble efforts. May your mission of mercy continue to prosper and bring salvation to all."
Suddenly the static reappears, clouding the image before dissappearing entirely, leaving only this simple logo:

Edited by: Aelfryc on 16/05/2006 20:54:23 I'm glad that you Amarr hide behind religious rhetoric rather then use the brains you were equiped with. It seems to me that zealotry just provides a means to turn a blind eye to the simple truth that you cannot cope with the idea of something being smarter or better then your empire, as clearly so many already are.
You have already proven that you cannot hold back the Minmatar because they are too strong, too smart, and too fast for you. I'm glad that Caldari State uses logic to accomplish their goals rather then stick their noses to the stars and pretend what they do isn't evil. At least they do not make any pretenses that they are good if they are not.
I tip my next drink to the first Minmatar that hits your station with a warhead and gives their people a chance to escape your trite concept of "helping" others. Why don't you just stuff them in a cargo container and jettison them at your next stop, it'd be a better fate.

Kind sir, could it be that what you have stated comes from the envy of not having something to believe in other than one's self?
I could direct you to seek divine enlightenment as it is increasingly everywhere.
Kind regards

And the only answer you have is to throw "divine enlightenment" at me. The only envy I have is of the pilot that defeats me in space. And when that happens, I will endeavor to become better so I may strengthen myself through self improvement and not through hope that some divine entity will empower me to do something I'm already incapable of. It would seem to me that, like a child, you would ask the question "Why" over and over again to try to beat a logical argument because you obviously cannot think for yourself. If you can find me proof of your "God", then I will tell him that your people are enslaving another because you feel you are their superior. Since your God obviously has all of you enslaved in dogma, you feel that you should find another race to attempt to subjugate in the name of humanity to follow the example set before you. Maybe you should learn the difference between right and wrong, rather then blindly follow a leader who may or may not even exist.

The leader exist's, you are merely blind to their vast greatness, which is a shame, I pity you really.
Take a look around, even the Caldari are using Amarrian technology to counter their own inferiority, think about it.
I feel no need to continue this discussion on our religion/beliefs, with someone who obviously has none - thus turning it into a slag off match.
