For two years I have had 88 cans in orbit around Emolgranlan Planet 7, moon 11. Some of you older players may remember the last time they were used. The tread is waaaayyyyy back here.
One should not litter, especially in space. People crash into things all the time and 88 small cargo containers hanging in space is a serious hazard if thy are not used regularly. More to the point, the hinges rust and then what good are they? So I have cranked up the industrial and reloaded them all. Yes folks...
THE LUCKY DIP RETURNS!!!
The rules are going to be the same as last time, except we're playing for bigger stakes this time around. So for those who do not remember, or can't be bothered reading the last thread, here's how it works...
In the Emolgranlan solar system in Heimatar (sec status 0.5) I have placed 88 small secure cans orbiting Planet 7, Moon 11. (Local seven-eleven. Geddit? Oh suit yourselves.) Each of these cans has a random password which only I know. Each can also has one item of loot from my collection.
This time around all the loot is of the implant variety. There's all sorts in there, from hardwirings to pirate tech 2 implants. Yum!
On the Escrow in Emolgranlan I will be placing 88 bookmarks. Each bookmark is numbered from 001 to 088, the number of the ticket is visible once you claim it. Within the notes section on each bookmark is the password for the correspondingly numbered can. Each bookmark will be escrowed for 20 mil (and no, you cannot read notes from escrow so you will have to buy the bookmark to find out each password).
So in other words...
1. Fly to Emolgranlan
2. Buy a "Lucky Dip Bookmark Ticket" from Emolgranlan V-3 Quafe Company Warehouse
3. Fly to Emolgranlan 7-11
4. Open the can with the password printed in the notes section of your "ticket"
5. Walk away with a fabulous prize! (Or a piece of tat, of course. But you always get something!)
IMPORTANT : I have been escrowing through my alt, Tenschu. ONLY accept tickets from this character and from no others!
The Prizes
Naturally, it's all about the loot! Some of it is worth the price of the ticket. Some of it isn't. And some of it will make the winning ticket holder verrah, verrah happay!
Naturally, people think the scamtasticness of such a venture makes it all a bit dodgy. So if you buy a ticket please come back here and post what you've found. In part to show people this is legit, but mostly because I'd like to find out who gets what  .

Bought a ticket, no notes no password 
Although if all the tickets have been sold then a lot of other people got scammed too

Sorry, this was not a scam. There was a problem with the notes not being shown through the bookmarks. I have taken them all offline until the problem is fixed. Details are in the event forum thread here.
I will contact you in game to sort this out and give you the password manually.

I'm kinda guessing in retrospect that it wasnt you?

Ok, after a lot of evemails I got the password and won a Gunslinger LX-1, worth around 18-20m, so i'm happy. It's a good game Sabahl, I may buy another ticket

Whew! Sorry for the messing around there.
The situation is that the notes in bookmarks do not appear to be transferring. So the passwords are now in the titles. Also the GMs are taking a dim view to spamming 90 bookmarks on the escrow in one go and so I am altering the game a bit from my end.
From now on I will place no more than 15 bookmarks on escrow at a time. As they are purchased I will replace those which have been bought. So the "game" may well take a good few days to play out.
I will be entering bookmarks just as soon as I finish typing this post, so head on down to Emolgranlan and go buy yourself some! |

Someone is posting tickets under the name Tenscho. This guy is a scammer. The real tickets are currently only available from Tenschu (note the 'u' at the end instead of an 'o').
Scummers are the bane of the game so be VERY careful when buying your tickets. In a bid to make things easier I will be escrowing the tickets directly from myself, Sabahl, from now on.
All the legitimate tickets escrowed last night sold out. More have just been entered onto the system. Have fun and remember to post up your winnings for everyone else to see. Someone has already walked off with lucky ticket 66 and made off with a Halo implant. Who knows what else is out there!
And remember, buy your tickets from Sabahl only!

By the way, I may well be doing another one immediately after this Lucky Dip is completed. It will be exclusively for Faction items and higher. Would anyone be interested? |

By the way, the scammer has changed character nmes now so be VERY careful when picking up Escrows. Make sure you pick up escrows from Sabahl and not Sabohl.

Everyone who is having fun playing the Lucky Dip will be pleased to hear that the scammers have been dealt with, hopefully permanently. If you have been scammed by someone pretending to be either myself (Sabahl) or Tenschu and selling tickets under a similar name then can I recommend you petition them. The GMs do indeed take a dim view on this sort of scamming.
Meanwhile, a fresh batch of tickets has been posted up. And this weekend I think I will have a SPECIAL Lucky Dip with some very interesting prizes. More on that later... |
