My name was Ja'Ida Ki'Idama and I was born on Intaki V.
I was steeped in the Intaki Way. It was as central to my learning as a star is to its system. And like a star system, there were orbiting planets - planets of studies in both the Arts and the Sciences.
Far and away, my favorite was archaeology. How I dreamed of peering back through the mists of times long past and somehow clearly see primordial worlds. Unearthed antiquities became my dearest confidants whispering ancient communiques from of old.
My nickname was "D Scanner". No matter where I was, my eyes moved to and fro over all my surroundings straining to discern a likely place to find artifacts from an earlier time. In the mountains, I found fossils. In the seas, ancient jetsam. And in the libraries, siren-songs of antique lore.
In adulthood, I became a capsuleer, a repudiation, perhaps, of the Intaki way of the Reborn. But it was the only way I could travel freely to Eve Gate. It was there I wanted to search and see all the way back to the genesis of our races and civilizations. I wanted to know the truth about our origins. I wanted to answer the questions, "How did we get here?", "Why are we here?" and, "Why am I here?".
So... I scanned.
I ventured as close to the blazing, searing Eve Gate as I dared. Slowly, systematically, persevering for years, I scanned the space surrounding Eve Gate. And at long last, I could shout, "Eureka!".
I retrieved the cube, ten centimeters on a side, with markings like those on the Eve Gate itself. Via the capsule's neural interface, I thought a command to a maintenance bot to turn its camera on the cube so that I could inspect this precious find.
I studied the markings and I froze for a split second when I spied the trigrammaton of our civilization GÇô EVE. How could this be? Then I spied another inscription partially worn away: C b S t.
I excitedly but carefully issued commands to the bot to open the cube. It contained what looked to be ancient media, disk-shaped, along with some sort of projector. Also present were pictorial guides for using the projector and to point out the first disks to view.
I had already acquired the most cutting-edge tools in New Eden for language and image translation. I had also augmented the tools with scripts that would apply language patterns in the form of reversible cellular automata extracted from most of the significant writings in the various languages of New Eden.
I transferred the data from the disks into the language translator and for the next several months, I analyzed it. Blessedly, I was able to decipher one of the languages.
My subsequent translations revealed that the Common Origin Theory propounded by the Earthologists is apparently true. The cube came from ancient Earth.
Among the hundreds of writings, there were three texts marked as of highest importance: The Message, an explanatory preface from the one who sent the cube, and an autobiography of an ancient messenger of The Message.
From the preface I learned:
C b S t is actually the word "CubeSat" - a satellite in the shape of a cube.
The CubeSat craft itself was not built by governments or corporations. Rather it was devised as an inexpensive way for the "average lover of space" to launch scientific instruments, video equipment, and automated experiments into low-earth orbit which would perform their work and transmit the results back to Earth.
The designers' intended that the orbits of all CubeSats would decay over a few days or weeks causing the CubeSats to reenter Earth's atmosphere and burn up, thus leaving no "space clutter" in orbit.
However, one ancient capsuleer-in-spirit had a different plan. This Ancient Capsuleer installed a clever and disguised propulsion system along with the experiments. Once in orbit and at the right point in both time and space, the propulsion system activated accelerating the cube to escape velocity and toward a mysterious destination the nature of which I am unsure.
It was a note-in-a-bottle cast into a cosmic sea.
Again from the preface, the Ancient Capsuleer explains why he launched the cube.
"I laughed at the truth for a long time. It was a message I thought only the uneducated and unintelligent from the 'back woods' of civilization could possibly believe. But then I read the life story of an actual backwoodsman from the past. More specifically, I read the story of a backwoods preacher, a circuit rider, who rode from settlement to settlement preaching the truth.
I was much taken with his bravery, fervor, and devotion to The Message and to the Sender of it. Wherever he rode and preached, the power of The Message took hold of people and they believed.
I believed The Message, too.
And because I believe, I speak. I speak this same message. I speak it by sending it to those who will come after me. I send it to those far away."
And I am much taken with this Ancient Capsuleer. The Message he preached took hold of me - and I believed. The Message also answered my questions about "how" and "why".
Now, I am a new person. I am truly reborn.
My name is Prechr Circuitrider.
Please. Come and hear The Message.
I plan to make my first circuit through New Eden warping counterclockwise along the boundary between High and Null-sec starting at Gergish X and ending at Cistuvaert V.
At twelve different systems including these two, I plan to hold a "Camp Meeting". This is not a gate or station camp, to be sure. Rather it will be a meeting patterned after those held by the circuit rider of ancient earth. I will publish meeting details soon in another post.
It is absolutely vital that you learn the truth. I want you to hear it - and believe.

No, Anslo, I'm not playing a joke and I don't have any ulterior motive. But I do realize this is hard to believe. I'll provide more details about the cube and its contents both here and in subsequent replies to other posters.
To answer your question about testing the age of the metal, conventional archeological dating techniques focus on artifacts, fossil records, characteristics of rock and rock formations, and the like. All of these are found on individual planets with specific environmental characteristics upon which dating techniques depend.
This is not the case with the cube. I found it in space. It has no planetary context that I can determine and so standard dating techniques can't be applied.
However, the process I used to translate texts from the cube can be used to date the texts. This translation process assumes New Eden languages developed from earlier languages. I used reversible cellular automata algorithms along with other language translation techniques to reverse the sequence of development of New Eden languages to produce earlier and earlier generations of the language..
Concurrently, I used the texts from the cube and applied the cellular automata algorithms in a "forward" direction to create a sequence of language development as might happen over time.
I used other software to compare each language generation from the reverse-direction processing with each language generation of the forward-direction processing in hopes of finding some reasonable match.
With time, I was able to make the connection between a contemporary New Eden language and one from the cube and so was able to refine the algorithms and create a translation of the texts.
Using the average amount of time required for a language to develop from one generation to the next, I computed the time needed for the cube language to develop into the New Eden language. This amount of time correlates with dates mentioned in the texts themselves..
These dates point to time frames for Ancient Earth. |

N'maro, I'm not an authoritarian, charismatic leader, In fact, I'm not leading anything. But I am proclaiming something. The Message is the antithesis of things stern and harsh. It's about grace and freedom, not about binding oneself to a list of rules to try and make one's self acceptable.
I'll provide more details about the camp meetings in my reply to Kei a little later. But I'm planning to hold them in stations within systems with at least a .5 security rating and so have Concord protection.
Odd robe? Please look at my picture. I'm not wearing a robe.

To be sure, Arista, we can discern some level of truth from observing ourselves in that we are all created in the image of the One who sent The Message.
But is there really truth in our hearts? What do they tell us? They tell us that we are basically good and that we can evolve to higher and higher levels until we achieve perfection. They say, "I am captain of my ship and master of my fate!"
But our hearts lie.
The Message says, "The heart is deceitful above all things and it is exceedingly corrupt. Who can know it? ".

I've thought about that, Kei. And I've also thought about how a camp meeting could be attacked by those opposed to The Message. This is New Eden after all.
As I mentioned in a previous post, I'm planning on holding the camp meetings in a stations within systems of .5 security or higher. Would Concord be sufficient protection? I chose the circuit along the boundary between High and Null-sec in hopes that more capsuleers from Null-sec might attend. A doctor wants to help those who are sick, not the healthy.
Would you recommend that I hold the meetings in .9 or 1.0 systems?
What else might I do so that attendees can be relatively safe? |

Interesting. Although I have two problems with your discovery.
Firstly, as a collector of art and antiquities I have some experience at being able to spot a fake. The veracity of your claim to have discovered an artefact from beyond the Eve Gate is at best dubious.
Secondly, as I am also a native of Intaki V, I find it curious how you link rebirth to spiritual transformation. Death and rebirth of the body is only a transition. We are already born with an immortal soul and spiritual transcendence is achieved through enlightenment of this soul. A GÇÿMessageGÇÖ such as the one you claim to have discovered implies a philosophy of redemption and miracles and by extension a scripture to disseminate its conviction. This is not logical. There is no sin or corruption. There is only choice. Every word we speak or deed we perform is an instrument of choice. Spiritual transcendence is achieved through reflection and meditation on those choices. It is a path of many lifetimes and not achieved through belief in miraculous illumination.
This is distracting.

The simplest form of cellular automata is a one-dimensional array of cells each of which can take on a value of "0" or "1". The state of the automaton at time t+1 is determined by the current state of each cell and a "rule" that governs how the t+1 state of the cell is calculated. An example rule might be: "If the current state is 1 and the state of the neighbor cell on the right is '1', then the state at t+1 is '1'. Otherwise, it is '0'".
Even simple automata can generate complex results as the automaton develops from generation to generation.
Cellular automata can be two-dimensional, three-dimensional, and so on. The value of each cell can be an arbitrary number, practically speaking.
Cellular automata are used to model a variety of dynamical systems such as the growth of plant or animal populations.
I have used these to model the development of various aspects of language as I have described earlier. |

To be sure, Arista, we can discern some level of truth from observing ourselves in that we are all created in the image of the One who sent The Message. But is there really truth in our hearts? What do they tell us? They tell us that we are basically good and that we can evolve to higher and higher levels until we achieve perfection. They say, "I am captain of my ship and master of my fate!" But our hearts lie. The Message says, "The heart is deceitful above all things and it is exceedingly corrupt. Who can know it? ". This is a stern statement. But, it is true. Interesting. Although I have two problems with your discovery. Firstly, as a collector of art and antiques I have some experience at being able to spot a fake. The veracity of your claim to have discovered an artefact from beyond the Eve Gate is at best dubious. Secondly, as I am also a native of Intaki V, I find it curious how you link rebirth to spiritual transformation. Death and birth are only a transition. It is a path of many lifetimes and not achieved through belief in miraculous illumination via a message. This is distracting.
I'm sorry I've taken so long to respond. I think about what the various posts say and I think even more about what and how to respond. In addition, I've been busy making preparations for the first Camp Meeting. And, as always, other things come up that have to be dealt with.
At any rate...
If the cube I found is a fake, that implies that there is a real one. For example, there can be no counterfeit ISK unless there is real ISK with which to compare it. Where is the real cube? Let's study it and then compare the two.
To be sure, it took awhile to be able to look beyond my Intaki spiritual training.
A foundational premise that this universe, this "Great Box" in which we live, is all that exists is not true. The Message shows that there is a Sender. We would have no knowledge of Him unless he injected information about Himself into the universe. He does this through what He has made but there is little detail there. He reveals truth about Himself, about us, and about His plans. We would never know otherwise. Therefore, it is imminently logical.
The Truth - and I say this gently, as well - is distracting, and rightly so.

Your repeated request reminds me of the Parable of the Persistent Widow from The Message. The parable teaches persistence in prayer. Day after day, the widow brought her case to the judge demanding justice. The judge feared no one. But because he was worn down by her persistent pleadings, he gave her what she asked.
With the same reaction as the judge :) , I searched the Noble Exchange for robes. Unfortunately, I found none.
I have another idea. Why don't you let the Message Sender "wrap you with a robe of righteousness"? It is light-filled and will last for all eternity. |

When I said "where is the real cube", I had in my mind that we could also study evidence for it as well if it's not under our control to acquire one. You're right to call me on this. But, truly, in my mind, I meant that we should include historical records and so forth as well for comparison.
It doesn't make much sense for an archaeologist to discount compelling evidences about the existence of an artifact because the actual artifact is not available. Sifting through information of all kinds to piece together an accurate picture of the past is what we do.
But onward.
Let's do compare the real God and you (and me for that matter).
Let's examine the evidences for the existence of the real God. Let's compare His characteristics and abilities with yours, mine, and any of us to understand that He is "the only true God. There is no other".
There are two sources I know of: (1) the universe itself. (2) information that God inserts into the universe to reveal Himself.
The existence of the universe implies that something brought it into existence. However, it could be that the universe is self-existent and therefore eternal, but our science suggests that the universe had a beginning. If the universe had a beginning, it's not eternally self-existent. And if there were no Creator, then there was simply nothing - not anything, null, void. And no thing of any kind can come from nothing.
In addition, the grandeur, complexity, myriad components and processes, and the marvelous, breath-taking scope of the universe from the near infinite to the infinitesimal bespeak tremendous power, creativity, artistry, and orderliness on the part of the Creator.
But these are general characteristics.
To know specific facts about the Creator, the Creator Himself must reveal them. He must inject, insert, reveal information about Himself because we can't transcend the universe on our own to get this information for ourselves.
That's part of the purpose of The Message.
Here's a chart comparing some of the general and specific characteristics and abilities of the Creator and you, Claudia, and any of the rest of us. Please fill in your part of the chart.
General Characteristics/Abilities The True God Claudia/et. al. Has universe-creating power. GêÜ Has universe-creating intelligence. GêÜ Demonstrates glorious artistry. GêÜ Engineers precisely. GêÜ Implements efficiently. GêÜ Enjoys rich variation. GêÜ
Specific, Revealed Characteristics/Abilities The True God Claudia/et. al. Speak things that are not into existence. ("Let there be..."). GêÜ Has all knowledge. GêÜ Has all wisdom. GêÜ Is the source of wisdom. GêÜ Has all power. GêÜ Constant. GêÜ Faithful. GêÜ Good. GêÜ Loves forever. GêÜ Compassionate and gracious. GêÜ Sovereign. (All things under His control). GêÜ Rules with righteousness and justice. GêÜ Brings rulers into power and deposes them. GêÜ Has a good plan for all creation. GêÜ Loves so greatly that He gave GêÜ His "Precious" to save wicked, rebellious humanity from his just wrath.
But there is one more source of information sent into the world telling what God is like. This is the central theme of The Message. The One who is both God and man. The Word was made into a human being full of grace and truth.
If we see what He is like, then we know what God is like.
The God-man came to testify to the truth. He came to take away our sins and to give us life to the full. He is the "radiance of God and the exact representation of His being."
He went about preaching, teaching, and healing. He learned obedience through suffering. He is the author and perfecter of faith in Him.
These evidences and his work in my own soul cause me to believe that this God is God. Therefore, and I say this gently, Claudia, you are not God unless you can do these same things and you have these same abilities. (And neither am I.)
I hope you will attend the Camp Meetings. I'll be preaching about the God-man - who he is, why he came, and how he wants us to respond.

Prechr,
I thank you for your response and the time you have invested in it. I have thought long on it and indeed, existence, as you argue, is not finite and I begin to understand you but with an unexpected outcome.
Let me tell of myself, Prechr. Although I am born Intaki, my soul has not always been. A soul lacks this ephemeral construct of humanity GÇô and I highlight this because I retain memories, flashes of other lives, feelings, sensations, and intimations of energies spent in corporeal form elsewhere than Intaki. Unfortunately my spiritual training was neglected during my childhood and I was forced to divine my own wisdom of the experiences of the universe. As a result I lack the means to connect my past lives into a fluid, cogent memory. I am not, in the Intaki way, enlightened GÇô nor do I wish to be, for I have discovered something more interesting.
Amongst the many fragments of memory I perceive many vessels within which my soul has dwelled GÇô once I endured life as an Amarr slave to a brutal Holder, in another, I possessed a Gallente hedonist. I also have memory of an ancient people who dabbled in black magic GÇô but of them I will not speak. In other lives I also feel the experiences of creatures without words.
My life as an Intaki insect, for example GÇô a certain species with specialised ability to see across extended frequencies of the spectrum - was particularly fascinating because the Intaki jungles seemed so vivid and bright. My human Intaki eyes cannot begin to capture the breathtaking washes of colour as the eyes of that delicate velvet moth. In another life I ran as an animal on all fours, and my experience was of raw emotion and freedom. Even as a fish at distant shores I swam and felt only the coldness of a vast and empty ocean. How would I describe the experiences of those creatures? They exist as feelings, colours, sounds, textures and even smells - all distorted and blended together - yet quintessential nonetheless. When the mood takes me, I can return to those apparitions of my mind, and I discover a common instinct, a shared quality between all the cycles, and that is the immutable need to satisfy a longing, a thirst, a hunger, a craving to feed and to recreate in my own image.
And this is what has brought me home to Intaki of late, Prechr Circuitrider, after having wandered the stars aimlessly in search of answers. The answers are before my very eyes as I sit, here on the observation deck of the Federal Defense Union station at Intaki II and write this reply. There is a green Intaki, the world of my birthplace GÇô but it no longer feels as my home and I am alien and strange to my own people. I have discovered however, that there is also a red Intaki. Have you ever contemplated the Intaki lava planet, Prechr?
I can spend hours on the observation deck in absolute solitude, for it is rarely visited, and watch the lava planet below evolve, changing, blending into various landscapes that form and reform and glow with an incandescence evocative of my memory as an insect. And while I now neglect my planetary output here on account of the minimal interest I earn on its sale, rather than put myself to pasture I observe the beautiful inferno below and feed on the absolute fires of creation. They burn in my eyes sometimes so very brightly, Prechr, that I am verily blinded and must spend much of my time in shadow, as a spider does in its web, and wait for the next opportunity to feed.

I have a confession to make. In fact, several.
First, I am grossly late in responding. I had good intentions of responding in a timely way after taking so long the time before. But I didn't. Some of the reasons are the same. However, your post was much deeper this time and it took me longer to "process".
I also confess that I still find myself drawn more to the solitude of archaeological research than to social interaction in a forum. At least I'm better about this than I used to be because the "Prime Truth" posts are my first forum posts.
And finally, I confess to a degree of "arachnophobia" and so, procrastinated as I processed that part of your post as well.
At any rate, please forgive me.
Your description of apparent memories from former lives is vibrant and your prose approaches poetry. Your writing makes one want to have these experiences, too.
Your experience of solitude on "Red Intaki" is certainly attactive to one preferring solitude.
However, I must interject more distracting truth. These thoughts and feelings must arise from a source other than memory. I say this because scripture says, "Inasmuch as it is appointed for men to die once, and after this, judgment,..." (Hebrews 9:27a, TNEB). The judgment mentioned here is the final judgment and so, there are no past lives to remember.
Regarding the need, the desire to feed to recreate yourself, I recommend the "manna from heaven".

I found exactly such a curious thing in our aft stellar intake a week ago. It was nearly intact and had a silver blue glow from the moon dust also trapped in the intake collection bags. I picked it up and kept it with me. Subconsciously, did I covet it? I thought about it endlessly as I went about my tasks on my ship.
I examined it closely while we were harvesting Arkonor (I have a habit of sitting in the maintenance bay of the firing chamber as the fumes from excavated Ark fill the room). And without another thought I crushed it into the smallest particles, stamping them until they were just as dust and glitter. I separated the mounds of glittering powder into evenly spaced rows, put my nose to one and inhaled it.. sending it brainward.
CubeSat.. ah yes.

I remember I was once test piloting an Exhumer in Rahadalon. The body was unfinished, so the ship was mostly an endoskeleton with two engineering decks. One of my test crew was this Sebiestor male, a tall lanky thing with a narrow spade of a nose and a heart shaped jawline. His skin was just shy of olive and his eyes were as blue as mine.
Between calibration exercises I'd find my eyes wandering over to him. Of course, I'd seen Sebiestors but not another like him. He nearly always kept his eyes focused on the floor, as he was trained. As if in a dream, we locked eyes but not until we were staring at each other from opposite sides of the airlock. I can't remember now why I pushed him out of it.. it all happened so quickly. .. when everything else is gone .. |

I remember I once undocked and flew my ship around a bit, making ISK. Then I docked again and left the pod.
True story and clearly very rare, if one is to believe the IGS. Prime Node. Ask me about augmentation.

True story and clearly very rare, if one is to believe the IGS. Most ISK-making activities are quite boring - like almost every job in the universe. Especially so if it was mining. Sniffing Arkonor and throwing random crew members out of the airlock while listening to rustcore beats mining everyday.

Jinari, if you are not taller than 135 cm in height, I can offer you the exciting opportunity of cleaning and replacing frequency crystals on the lower deck of my ship. The crystals do tend to fuse to the contact leads because of high temperatures sometimes, and there was one incident of a technician requiring surgery after a crystal burst while she was dislodging it.. it might have been that she was feeling dizzy from the uncleaned exhausts right above her and I may have discharged a welding laser in her general direction because I was irritated and she was babbling incoherently, not having brought along her personal vocal translator of course.
Ah, well you may certainly find more enjoyment in it than undocking and docking. If you plan to give an interview, do bring your Curriculum Vitae and some leather straps and maybe twenty five feet of rope.

Seriously, Sibbyl, your ship sounds like a turn-of-last-century death trap. Also, is ANYONE less than 135cm tall? "You let one of them go, but that's nothing new is it? Every now and then a little victim is allowed to escape; because she smiled, because he's got freckles, because they begged. And that's how you live with yourself. That's how you slaughter millions." As a member of the race with the supposedly lowest average height, I can assure you that none of our adults are less than 135cm tall. 145cm plus is in the leftmost outlier in our bell curve. Anyone shorter than that is at an adult age is either lying about the age or is a pygmy. |

I met a Matari gentleman a while ago, Sebiestor I think, who was around 215cm in height or about 7 feet I believe? Rather intimidating, especially when you consider I'm barely 150cm myself. I'd not have guessed that about your race sir. I take it the person I met must have been somewhat of an oddity, ah? No offence to him intended. How many other Sebiestors have you met? Does it go up to a several tens of thousands? You cannot judge average height based on a sample size as small as one person.
Also, you go survey your own race using sample size of the aforementioned number and tell me if your height is 'average'. |

I'm honestly not sure how many Sebiestor I've met. I've seen many people in my travels - short, tall, fat and thin - although I struggle often to tell race in a crowd with fashion trends these days. Was you who mentioned racial averages, ah.
I live with a Sebiestor woman in fact, a family pilot. She is taller than me sir but not by a great deal.
As for me? Well I am slightly smaller than my race's average as far as I know. But again I've not spent much time exclusively around my own people, beyond my siblings and of them I am the shortest of all. Equal in height to my sisters Shelby and Kellie who are not yet of age. Is somewhat unfortunate, but I have ways of making up for it. Gÿá Part-time wormhole pirate | GÖí Full-time super model WH Blog | #420roloswag | Bio |

No offense taken. I apologise. Whenever I see conclusions that do not look like it was drawn from a properly designed experiment/survey I tend to explode.
