On the test server they added an option to reconnect to disconnected drones, it will recall the entire flight back and its already shortcutable option (though no default) drones that reconnect will rally back up on your ship as though you just told them to return and orbit. No other way to activate outside the shortcut key atm.

No last week was the drones will try to get into you drone bay if you disconnected. This week its drones that are disconnected/abandon can be relinked once you get back to the spot.

true but it may be useful if you got heavies and you dc mid pvp fight and instead of slow boating it for 50kms you just hit the button and whallah theyll be back under your control.

Very nice, thanks for the info Nova Fox.
As to the above, I can "possibly" see some tricky hijinks happening with short range sentry drones scattered around for a log in trap if you wanted to come in at range... other than that I don't see anything that would be any more effective than simply launching them when you get there.
I'm assuming this works for fighters/fighter bombers as well?

Terrible thing, now there are no consequences for leaving drones. Therefore, no more idiots chasing after a drone worth a fraction of their ship, and in the result of doing that getting ganked.
Think of all those idiots who've lost their ship going after their drones.
