Because EVE is all about fair fights, right? Even though the inties were probably there to gank covetors and haulers...
Anyway, to the OP, Big Blue kill people for the following reasons:
You're in a newb corp
You're a pirate
You're in their private system
If you fit any of those, they pop you.

Coupla days ago after a month of playing I got curious to see this fearsome 0.0 space everybody talks about. So I found a red dot on the map, fitted a warp core stab and an afterburner on a condor, and zoomed in there to check it out.
Very quiet system, one outpost called "Big Blue Pill". Friendly place, I docked and checked out the market availability of stuff. Undocked and decided to make a few bookmarks. Still wondering when all the meanness would commence.
And lo! It did. About a dozen ships came swarming after me when I undocked. I boogied, but not before they ate shields, armor, and part of my hull.
There followed several hours (including a few breaks where I logged to watch previously scheduled TV shows) of hide and seek amidst the moons. During this time they kept the exit gate back to empire continuously camped. One heck of a lot of effort to catch one newbie in a worthless frigate with no modules.
I'd guess they tried to lock me a couple dozen times before I finally got out of the system, and got ammo into me half a dozen times. But that condor is *hella* fast and they only got me scrambled once, and it didn't stick. Finally I hit the gate with nobody in sight, made my 15km run with afterburner blazing, and warped doing 901 km/sec with lasers pinging off my hull -- for indeed, somebody (uncloaked or warped in) got me locked on the way out.
And that is how Big Blue and I spent the evening together. So, yeah, apparently they *try* to keep their system closed, but nobody's perfect.
To their credit I had a friendly convo with one of their guys -- friendly that is if you don't count the part about how I was about to die for the crime of being in a newbie corp.

The flash doesnt include their 30 bs and 2 carriers that they will drop out of the Blue pill to take on 3 inties and an AF. I believe we caught it on video too for a laugh. Their inty gatecamp was interesting especially when they didnt catch the AF.

the video is funny, and to an extent true. but lockdown isnt for the members of blue, its for all the tards like the OP who they used to let in their space as if it were empire.
and if you want a fight, go take those inties to somewhere like syndicate or one of the other more hostile regions. anyone bringing inties to blue space is their because they prolly cant hack it verse people who are ready for combat. blue space is full of neutrals who allow for easy ganks because they dont listen to warnings. they dont bring out tons of ships because they are scared, they bring em out because they are bored. |

LOL...dunno why everyone picks on Big Blue. They keep tabs on really one system...if you don't like it..go to another, there's only 5000+systems in Eve.

Yeah....I found out that they consider Scope a "noob" corp. I am obviously not an alt, even ISS isn't as anal as Big Blue when it comes to npc corps.
