Here I am. Making my first journey to Jita. Ever. I donGÇÖt know what to expect, but I canGÇÖt help the sick feeling in my stomach. Always afraid of being screwed over. It tends to happen when you believe in people. Anyways. I get to Jita, and an ISK doubler keeps posting in local about all the people sheGÇÖs doubled for and their amounts. GÇ£Eve's ONLY honest and ethical ISK doubler is back in Jita! Minimum 50M investment, limit 3 investments per player. If you didn't read the rules in my bio, you paid those that did! No charity + No scams = Ethical doublingGÇ¥. At first I think its total bullpucky. But as the names keep popping up, I think to myself GÇ£Hey, 50M dosnt take that long to get.. And if I get paid, then itGÇÖs worth it, but if I get scammed then I have a new goal hahaGÇ¥. Then I look to her bio for the rules, just to make sure there is no fine print. I find:
Ethical ISK Doubling
1. Follow all of the rules.
2. Maximum three transactions per player
3. Send even amounts only
4. Minimum play: 50M
5. Wait patiently!
6. Share some of your profits with another player to pay it forward :) <3 <3
These rules seem fair enough. Free money. Hesitantly I right click Fighter Jets GuitarSoloGÇÖs name and then click GÇ£Give moneyGÇ¥. Here I pause for about 5 min as I stare at the 50M balance. After what seemed like an eternity, I violently clicked send after I typed GÇ£Wish me luck haha..GÇ¥. I wait and I wait, and finally she sends me 100M. I was shocked. CouldnGÇÖt believe that her advertisement was true. Great player, great person. Happy to keep playing in the sandbox.

While I figure they may actually double the first or second batch of money you throw their way, hoping to sucker you in even more, the risk they'd just go for the small and quick buck is far too great.
Also, fake customers raving about how great ISK doubler XYZ is while being one of his or his friends' alt.
Frankly, if you send ISK to doublers, some of the neurons in your brain need replacing. |
