Does anyone purchase bulk modules directly from manufacturers to sell? If you do, what profit margins do you look for on the module to make it worth purchasing directly from the manufacturer? What percentage above buy orders but below sell orders do you look for? Do you require a particular volume to make it worth your while? Thank you in advance for any information provided.

I'm not very active trading at the moment, taking a break as it were. But in the past I've offered "Jita mid-point" on high volume items, that's the mid-point between highest buy and lowest sell.
Obviously, that could vary a bit and I needed to take into account whether prices were stable or rising / falling or if one order was an anomaly. But given some reasonable provisos and a a spread of a few percentage points between mid-point and sell price to cover sales taxes and make at least a couple of percent profit, I'd take any trade like that. |

Thank you for your reply. I am trying to gauge interest as I am a manufacturer and really loath the .01 isk game. If I could part with the modules in bulk, even for a percentage off sell orders, I would be willing to look into it. Save me from constantly updating orders. |

Shoot me an Eve-Mail with what you're making. I'm always looking for manufacturers to work with. |

Mid-Jita point is a pretty safe bet. but remember a maxed out trader needs 2% just to break even and most are closer to 3%. You won't win anyone over with numbers like that.
You have the right idea: product that is sitting in your hangar or in escrow isn't making you money. On that note, if you lack for buyers, I suggest you sign up for the in-game mailing list, "Wholesale Trading", and put your offers through that channel. I check it every day and I know I am not the only one. It costs nothing and the rules are very simple and easy to follow. |

What he said.
I look at current prices and what I have paid for the items, then what I will be selling them for.
If it's higher than what I have paid for them and the sell price for my market has not increased, I typically hold off unless I know the volume will move. It it's lower then my prior buy price I gobble up as much as I can.
Now, how did I get to my prior buy price? Either from buying a bulk contract which was at the Jita midpoint or just above the buy price in Jita. Other times I will put in buy orders myself.
I deal in T2 PVP modules (mostly weapons), and T1 rigs.
Should you begin producing that's what I am seeking.
Lastly, Join the "trade market" and "wholesale trading" mailing list in game. See what kind of flow is going through there and how items are priced. At times a huge amount of modules get sold. I am still sitting on some I have purchased a month ago. Bad foresight but I am making it work with fitted ships. Moving much faster now. |

Realistically this is where most heavy dumps onto buy orders come from. Set the universe on fire - then sell the survivors ash. https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=238931 - an idea for a new form of hybrid PVE/PVP content. Thank you all again for the information

I have found my self guilty of this before myself, but I try not to do it unless the spread between buy and sell orders is really small. Some modules the difference is 30-50k isk while others can be 200k or so. |
