Hi
I wanted to keep separate setting for my chars so i found this tutorial how to prepare multiple "copies" of Eve:
https://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Multiple_clients#Vista.2F7_Steps
i done everything as described, Eve2 folder shows up but i can't access it. Tried many ways to enter it but without success. I run Win7 as administrator. Weird thing is that i done this before on my other PC, in the past - and it worked. Now i cant do it on my laptop. Any help?

If you want the accounts to have their settings in separate folders...why don't you just copy your eve files into a separate directory? With hard drive space being so cheap... It just doesn't make sense to go through the hassle of mklink when you can just copy and then play. Btw, I have 9 different eve directories. 8 for Tranquility and 1 for singularity. |

Well i figured out that i needed to mklink first eve folder not second layer. Its all done now. Copying such tremendous amount of data wasnt needed, pal :) Making junctions is the way to go. Another thing is that you need to update only one time, not every client separately. Isnt it better? I just tried it and it works fine for me. perhaps you forgot to add the " d/ " ?
The command should be " mklink d/ eve2 eve " People, who talk, don't know. People, who know, don't talk.

It worked for me too but i made mistake earlier by trying to make junction Eve folder instead of external CCP. Atm got 1 real Eve folder and 3 junctions. Works flawlesly without need to update all of the clients. Brilliant idea.
