EVE-O maker posts a 21m loss
I have felt for a while you have been strung out on all these different projects and not really focusing on what i assume is your core product. I feel bad for all the people that were made redundant in your other mmog project but i wonder how much of that money and time could have been spent on improving EVE. I hope you recover as this is a great game. |

Yeah, I took a look at their official document regarding last year and their is a position called R&D which accounts for more then twice the loss. Someone I asked pointed out to me companies like to stuff not only old costs spend years before, but taken under the assumption they would have a ROI (which then failed, which is why it is then written off as a loss years later) , but also salaries into R&D-costs, so that "loss" could very well be a net profit, but for taxation purposes, it's a loss. The wonders of accounting.  |

Yawn someone is slow...did you know they have player owned stations now...yep released in the most recent expansion! They even added battleships!!!

Whether this is true or not, CCP loses extra money from me by making me use PLEX for ship skins. It's not convenient, I don't want the hassle. CCP, you have my ******* credit card number. I should be able to click once in game to buy something.
But, I also am not a fan of limited use / destructible micro transactions unless they are truly micro.
I use Secret World as an example here. I've spent far more than I ever care to admit buying clothing and **** there. Probably well over $100. Because they made it cheap, non destructible, and accessible across all characters on an account. And if I run out of Funcom points, I can charge new ones to my credit card in-game.
How much extra money has CCP gotten from me? Zero. That tells me they are doing it wrong. Because I'm the kind of person who buys this stupid stuff. |

But don't listen to me, CCP! You're saving me money.
You do know you can buy AURUM-tokens on the market, right? It's how I paid for a pair of Krusual Edition Stabbers and a few Kador Edition Punishers. I literally just bought the tokens of the market and that's it. No PLEX involved. |
