fix put a petition in off cans that we deployed aroun there station, we made a star formation with normal junk cans at 200km ranges. we did not put the cans in closer.
we have had gm in local saying that this play is hindering the enemy play, i dont see why there was only 5-10 cans out at vast ranges, the enemy also used these cans as a advantage to play the tonkin game. other words chase the enemy intercepter and try to predict which can hes warping to so you can catch him out.
cans are used as junk and can be classe as celestrial objects.
the gm did not bother to explain where this hindering of play was really effecting the fix fleet.
now players is this a wrong tactic, you could easily destroy the cans.
now there was some cans at the entrence but they where remains of there ships and there loot. and they petitoned them.
now a star formation of cans at least 200km of the station im my book is valid tactic.
if i placed them at the undock area well ban me now, we did not do that it was enemy loot we did not want.

From what I heard on alliance, you put cans right in the undock port, so that any ships undocking would be bounced out from the station and be able to easily be caught by tacklers. This is a well-known exploit.
Remember, by the way, "FIX" didn't petition, one person in FIX who lost his ship or was unhappy with your dirty tactics petitioned. We don't petition as an alliance.
1. DON'T USE ALL CAPS IN YOUR THREAD TITLES.
2. Don't double post.
3. Why is this a topic for the forums? Its an exploit, so IBTL.
4. I'd rather not smack, but to be honest the fact that you have to exploit when you outnumber us by a wide margin makes it quite clear what your level of PvP skill is as an alliance.

Yeah, and is that in the way of the undocking port on a 0.0 station? Wait, no it isn't.
There are can signs all around empire--how is that one any different? And its been there so long that the person who made it probably isn't even in FIX anymore.

How it hinders our play is simple: It means that ships get bounced out of the undock port when they undock. This is an exploit.
You killed the ships, so its your job to remove them. If you had followed the rules, you would have either looted the cans or popped them. Instead, you purposely left a whole bunch of cans there (and who knows, maybe added your own), which is a clear exploit.

Um if you kill a ship, how the hell is the can not yours?
Anyways, you are disputing a GM decision here, which is bannable on the forums. When a moderator sees this, the thread will be either locked or deleted and the OP (you) warned and/or tempbanned.
If you want to dispute the GM's decision, petition to a senior GM, don't post it here.

If you weren't camping the station for a considerable period of time while the cans were there, I highly doubt anyone would have petitioned.
Yet again, you're digging yourself in a huge hole, courtesy of the ISD.

Well it seems we have clash of opinions. I was replying to his post, as your's wasn't there at the time i clicked 'reply'. If he was using an exploit then fair enough. If his cans were 200k away from the station like he said then they're no worse than that stupid sign.
Why anyone needs a reminder that they're going to go shoot FIX is behond me though :P

The problem here, beyond anything else, is that he's violating forum rules by complaining about a GM decision here on the forums. Doesn't matter what anyone thinks about it--its just against the rules.

I got the impression was that the situation was one group deliberately put cans at the exit point from the station, so undocking ships were bumped around and inhibited from warping or maneuvering.
essentially working around the undocking immunity by disallowing the undocking person from going where they want, without ACTUALLY engaging them.
doing that, then leaving the cans from people destroyed AT the undock point, would make it worse and worse...
if thats the situation it really would be a very unacceptably unfair situation (not a game dynamic, but a meta-problem) and definitely petittion-worthy.
having anchored cans in a radius over 500m from the station or something is bizzare, but I don't see it as problematic... cluttering up the undock and/or alignment space SHOULD NOT be allowed. (though this is naturally a problem in some stations..... that should have something done about it as well.

You miss understand, fix clearly states that they were killed at the undock port (check quote below) and that it is OUR responsibility to clean their crappy loot up. Honestly it seems that the loot wasn't even worth expending the ammo to destroy (unless fix wants to supply the fleet with ammo). Furthermore our fleet's cargo holds were probably already so full from killing them all day that they couldn't pick up any more loot. So what are we supposed to do?

I think the best solution is for them to stop dying so bad. Also I find it ironic that DS does not have enough time to send in a petition to the GM's now for tonkin "misbeahaving", but his alliance member had enough time to petition a cargo can kicking his butt.

I know an easy solution to gate camping:
Put about 5 more hangars on stations, so that if you want to camp, you aren't just sitting there on one point, and people aren't all piling up outside.
And FFS, you ******* 'undock and afk' empire people need to stop doing that ****. The only thing stopping me from smartbombing the hell out of a few key traffic jam stations is I lack the isk and an alt that I wouldn't care about being -10 on.
