Their are a few terms in eve that need to be cleared up.
Carebear(s): I feel the need to stick up for this group because people like to toss around the term carebear to losely. A carebear is someone that plays the game on a non combate level. They mine, build, resurch, ect, and they work hard at it and are very good. With out them the markets would be dry. Yay for Carebears.
Newbi: Someone new to the game or even just new to an aspect of the game like PvP. They are new and ask a lot of question but as time goes on they learn get get good and go on to pass what they have learnd down to others. They are genrally lovable except when start to follow you around like a lost puppy.
Noob: Someone that never learns, ever. They often whine on the forums about how they lose their 5th cruiser to some pirate in a .4 while minning afk. They often talk about doing things to their attackers in real life such as **** and ****. They also often get mislabled as Carebears when if fact carebears are useful and noobs are worth only slightly more than they boimass left behind when they go pop.
Forum *****: See Dark Shikari or the 23. The volume of text on these forum from Dark Shikari's mostly useful posts and comments accounts for %7 of all used bandwidth on the web. HippoKing and Jenny Spitfire tie for second at %6.8 each.
Babe: See Eris Discordia She likes pink, she likes guns, and she is wearing leather. (At least in my twisted little mine)
Useless post made at 3am: See "EvE slang for the record."

Actually most forum *****s have a tendency to write very short posts, so i dont know about that text volume thing...
And my personal definition of carebear is not someone who stays in empire. Its someone who firmly believes that the systems he visits should be safe, no matter the security rating. --- The Eve Wiki Project |

Carebears are good at the game their hard work in minning, building, marketing ect ect goes along way in building 0.0 empires and massive fleets. They don't get their main kick out of eve from the combat side. But that doesn't mean they are not good at eve in fact eve wouldnt work with out them. Noobs complain a lot about stuff they should know better about stuff that most people figure out in their first month they will complain to death a year later. Noobs are people that simply never learn and blame out side forces for their woes. In r/l they are better knowen as brats.

from reading the posts theres a lot that i do agree with especially about this game not working well if it wasnt for people who have been branded the name of carebear.
just think if all the carebears (indy players) did actually get together and boycotted the market we would suffer. unless we had independant members in our retrospective corps who had the ability to build / mine do all the things that the industry market would require just to provide us with more ships and mods.
imo it is good to have them around at least and it definatly keeps the market on its toes with their competitiveness

So there's no such thing as a carebear pirate? I beg to differ... IMO a carebear is one who wants reward without risk, regardless of willingness to enter into combat.

So that's "being shipped" is it? And what's wrong with "podkilled"? ________________________________________________

I agree.
Perfect example is gate sniping who's just about as dangerous as mining in a 0.6 system. Must be noted though that some people doesn't even regard gate sniping as pirating.
I also remember seeing a carebear pirate a few weeks ago attacking some miners in his Caracal about 80-100 km away. Of course the miners were gone before the missiles even reached the roid belt. ---------------- Main as main can be. |

That counts for you and HippoKing too. You guys post mostly useful/good/funny stuff. I'm just teasing because CCP had to use part of the old tranquillity to host it all.
