Now ain't that nice! I just wanted to transfer some valuable loot from my alt to my main in space jettisoned the can and...
disconnected. Easy, i just log on back i still have 5 minutes.

Great! Thank you for preventing login 5 minutes before it goes down, even it doesnt make any sense.

Its been like that since the 5 minute countdown appeared in the game though, so its not that new.

Let me get this straight
o The server was shutting down
o You knew that if one of your chars got disconnected he wouldn't be able to relog
o You decided to transfer valuable loot in space and in a jetcan at this time instead of using the trade window when docked
o You're so impatient that you couldn't wait for downtime to finish
and you're complaining about it? ahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

Perhaps on your part? Knowing of the timer in the first place, YOU took the risk, not CCP. So, in the future, WAIT till after DT to transfer the good loot to your main. Problem solved.

He's just scared someone will come around and steal his stuff during downtime. Those pesky theives are a sneaky lot.

Well, of course, jet cans do disappear during downtime, along with the precious loot they contain.

Aye, funnily enough I had a can of omber survive the post-database-upgrade-crash of last week-ish. Was well happpy

thx for the responses, well "valuable" is more than it actually is, i don't care if the can is lost, i just think this "feature" is useless not more. Besides every NPC Trader knows what it means to be disconnected in the last 5 minutes, loss of one day trading basically.
