I've made a couple of posts in the last few days about my interest in starting to explore WH space, everything is in the process of going ahead soon.
But a thought occurred a few minutes ago about the none combat side of things. Everything in eve seems to have a none combat side, what about WH's? Now I know there are mining ops and PI and T3 manufacturing that all happen in WH space but what about a pilot in a scanning frig, with almost 0 offensive capabilities, is there anything to do? Now I'm not expecting there is going to be billions of isk in the waiting for a pilot wanting to do this, but is there anything encouraging to somebody just getting out there an seeing what's up?
Everything in the last few days has been about me trying to learn as much as I can about navigating around in WH space, this is the same thing, just seeing if there is anything to do whilst I'm out there!

You could have friends clear data/relic sites and then go crack the cans, or scan for nulls are run data/relics there. |

In all honesty i'll be doing that next week when the alts have the necessary skills, between now and then I just want to do some exploring! So even if there isn't anything to do on my own i'll get used to the environment and zoom around in my Astero. |

My first wormhole experience was just probing down wormhole "constellations"(as i knew them at the time) warping around in a T1 scanning frig and just getting a feel for the space. I bumped into so random pvpers and stayed cloaked or ran away a lot. Making bookmarks and trying to find a decent "empty" hole to do sites in.
I then ran c2 sites with a drake with a cloak and probes. Made a "ton" of isk, and then got killed by some russians in a site, I took one of them with me though. Was tons of fun. |

I've been building my main to do gas harvesting in WH, I have three ships fitted for it - 1st is my scanning frig, using the Heron I carry 1 rail, a cloak, the scanning probes, and it also sports a drone bay that can hold 7 warrior 1's - this has proven to be able to get into the holes, scan down and bookmark sites safely, but not enough to take on the rats at the sites . - so my second frig is a merlin that carries the same fit as my FW alt is currently using, and it can rat fine - and the last is my vent which is fitted for gas harvesting, with some probes in case I have to scan down a way out.
the process will consist of flying back and forth to switch ships alot, but I'm hopping it'll give enough return to make it worthwhile. |

There are lots of things to do in a covert ops but will not be making any isk in the process. You will pin and bm sigs for others to clear, watch the static if you are in a corp in wh, pin gas sites to swich to venture to extract until sleepers arrive, find and bm poses, scout and provide warp in points for the pvp portion of your group when hunting the locals etc. |
