Is it possible? I'm trying to solo a 6/10 sansha complex in a raven. Here is my setup:
Hi: 3x arby cruise, 3x arby seige, 1x e500 heavy nos Mid: Lg Domination shield booster, 3x boost amp, invul II, anointed em ward Low: damage control, 4x cap relay
In the first stage with about 6-7 BS, 1 cruise, and 2 frigs, I get hammered and have to warp out. Is shield tanking the way to go or is armor tank a better option for sanshas? I'm looking for a decent setup if its even possible to do the complex on my own (If anyone is willing to divulge their secrets :p). Any advice is appreciated.

soloing a 6/10 sansha complex in a raven is awalk in the park, but you wont get there, not even close with that setup. i recomend you strip your lowslot get a caracal and try doing some lvl 2 missions and actualy get the hang of how to shield tank befor you try this, and read the discription on the cap relays... - shield boost.. and those med slots WTF are you thinking.. fit ab cap injector hardeners and a XL booster lows shuld explain them self after few lvl 2 missions in a caracal. and plz for the pritty little kitten's sake dont mix weapon types !!! and bring about 2000 javelin torps for the last overseer.

uhhh 3 amps? I would never suggest this setup to anyone I actually like. I would tell you to use your named large shield booster, 1 named shield amp and 4 named or tech II active shield hardeners. Also your lows needs fixing, have BCU's and PDU's .. both tech II.
YOUR EXAMPLE SETUP Hi: 3x arby cruise, 3x arby seige, 1x e500 heavy nos Mid: Lg Domination shield booster, 1x boost amp, 4x active shield hardeners (mission specific) Low: 2x BCU II's, 3x PDU II's OR 3x BCU II's and 2x PDU II's

Thanks for the info. Yeah - I know about the penalties with the cap relays, but I seemed to get by ratting before now - I know this is much different. I know my lows need an overhaul - I'll try what you said.

Drew's setup is the best I've seen so far.
Tho I'd agree with the person above him and say pick 1 missile type, don't split em. 6 cruise or 6 siege.
3/2 PDS/BCU or BCU/PDS in the lows. Nothing else will provide as much benefit, I've done all the math many times.
Mediums Drew's setup is also perfect for. 1 booster with at LEAST 1.5/1 ratio, 4 active hardeners (2 of each type), 1 ab or 1 amp depending how hard the mission is.

Thx for the complements, though that setup has become standard now for most mission runners. I.e. Us Caldarins and our Ravens :P or CN Raven or Rattlesnake if you can afford
With a little variance of the above-posted setup, I use for all my lvl 4 mission needs, yes solo with no problems.

1 Gist C type large shield booster 2 T2 Proton H 1 T2 Heat H 1 T2 Balistic H 1 Shield Amp
Lows full with T2 PDU's
offcourse change the hardeners to suit what your fighting, but thats the standard. "RAWR" is my keyword, and also my second language |
