This happens at downtime and when the server is being restarted. Server restarts happen sometimes after upgrades to the hardware or software. This is due to unforseen problems that need fixing that second as the server has become unuseable.

But how can skill training continue if the server systems are being restarted? Surely this would stop no? I ask because I just started training a skill, right before the server problems. Now this skill has no mention of being trained in the "My Character" section on eve-online. Im hoping my skill is training, but is not showing up here... - Cool, it is training.. Must mean the servers are all good.. -
