I have microsoft spreadsheet, i do not have excel. I am trying to figure the highest percentage of availabiltiy for my members to do mining op's. The problem is i suck at math and do not know how to use ms spreadsheet. The data i have is of days and times of availibility for my corp members, how then do i input this data to recieve the best possible times for corp ops based on member availiblity?
I am not math savy, so please if you are going to help talk in laymans terms, if possible.
Thanks =)

lol, just take your diary, with a line every hour for each day, 24 lines a day.
Now write down how many members available each hour at a day, each day, 7 days
Now go over the list, and pick the day and hour with most members online for longest time
Simple enough?
You could complicate it a bit - add factor of skills - so those online who mine with osprey, get less factor multiplier than those who mine with retriever, and covetor can even more multiplier. Then u can really pick the best hours.
Good luck

The easiest and simplest way to do what you require is to tell them there is a crokite roid in the belt you are in the size of the moon. Its just hidden behind veldspar.

Ehrm, I know there are people having bloody spreadsheets for everything, but how about you do it the normal way?
Put a poll up or have a corp-meeting asking your members which 2-3 days per week usually suit them best, then do the mining ops on those days?
You dont need a master in corp ops scheduling to hold one...

Yes but i do believe that was also mentioned by Kinsey <- Very nice and i do apreciate the understanding guys...
Look i am not an ass, i may look and sound like one but i will most definately assure you that i am not.
All i want to know is what i had stated in My Op, anyone with some advise or Instructions on how to do so would be very much apreciated.
Thank you

Thank you for the advice Mesa, that should prove very helpfull for now. Yet i intend for there to be many more members, and as our Corp is on the up i think it more apropiate to have a chart that can be adjusted as needid
Thank you

You could try something like this. Number of people online
It's an excel document but hopefully should open on microsoft spreadsheet or whatever
Very basic sheet that i've put together in about 5 minutes, hope it helps
Signature too large, please ensure it is 400*120 pixels or less - Udat |

Yeah that's right mate, put in the figures and the charts will change accordingly. little one for the days, big one for the hours in the day and then you can decide which day and time is best to get your guys together. ---------

If your corp is really small .. I mean so small that you only have 1-2 people online at one time then forget it, you wont please everyone.
The way I do it events for my corp, and they tend to be major events, is to post about it 2 weeks atleast ahead of time and work up the momentum. Then I specify a time but the event is usualy a whole day or a whole weekend, I did say it was major ... When you post on your forum you will get the feel of when is a good time for people to join when they respond on what convenient for them and even when I do that I usualy run it as a poll.
If I plan an event for the corp it definetly has to be a time I could join since I'm planning and working on it and most members would be able to accomidate that otherwise its a waste of my time and it'll never be as much fun if the coordinator isn't there to get things rolling
