In the last few months the service iv recievced has been ok on most items, but when it comes to cheaper parts, it seems Ebuyer send miss shipped items constantly, funnily enough its allways a lesser item similare but not worth as much and not what i wanted, this has happened on several occasions now, its never been an item worth more than i paid though, allways less(hmm i wonder).
so onto my main gripe the last item i sent back was a warrenty replacement for a Galaxy 6600gt video card, they recieved the item back and agreed there was a fault and sent me my replacment, vgood u might think, but no they send me a completly diffrent video card that they dont even stock on the website thats worth alot less(hmm) so going through the proccess im very familier with i RMA the miss shipped item, only to find that even though i have the proff of postage and a signature its recieved, they ignore most of my enotes and emails completly now, and will not say they have lost the item or missplaced it?.
moving on i ordered a 30m lan cable as it was not expensive, i wasnt bothered about the outstanding gfx card issue at this point, and subseqently recieved my 10m lan cable(oh) so i RMA this item and didnt get round to sending it back, in the mean time iv sent anouther enote trying to find out whats happened to my Video card(maybe ranting allittle here) and they respond straight away with emails saying they have received my 10m lan cable, which i havnt sent back yet!!!, i send 2 enotes explaning this to no response and receive the 30m cable lol.
So now they have chosen to completly ignore my enotes emails, and im reporting to watchdog and trading standards because theres not alot else i can do with these people.

I am an Ebuyer business account holder and have spent in excess of ú50K with them. Most of the problems I have had with them have been a fault on the part of City-Link rather than Ebuyer directly. Since getting an account manager, I don't really get any problems at all.
I have had problems with long e-note turn arounds and the like. However, I've always found it much easier to call them when trying to sort something like this out rather than relying on e-notes.
I keep using them because of their fantastic product range and very competitive pricing - they almost always beat big distributors for all but specific things (Cisco, 3Com etc). I'm just an extremely pragmatic and person when problems do occur. ______________________ 106 days and still a hijack virgin... Cherry popped! ~kieron Kieron... I have some bad news... |

Similar thing happened to my dad, he ordered a new 21" crt monitor and they sent him a 17", took them almost a month to sort it out. I prefer overclockers myself, much better support. --------------------------- What can I put here without getting banned? |

I've had similar horror stories about OCUK as well - even stuff never turning up. What has to be understood is that problems will arise with all suppliers be they online, mail order or the good old walk-in kind. For me a good client-supplier relationship is worth its weight in gold and is something worth building. Unfourtunately this kind of relationship cannot really exist between large online stores and small customers like yourselves. ______________________ 106 days and still a hijack virgin... Never had a problem with E-Buyer. Sounds like they need to train their packing staff a little better though! |

Being honest ive order lots of equitment off ebuyer.co.uk with no trouble at all,
saying that this comp ive used for nearly 2-3 years now with no issues is built from
Microdirect parts
Biggest and simplest reason is cause i can ride there and pickup the same day
Same can be said off aria bought a few things direct from there and off the internet when i cba riding there.
Both id recommend,
and yeah ive had issue s with microdirects products, took the product in he tested it infront of me and gave me a replacement can't ask for much else.
and the above poster bisuit factory?!?!

ive bought tons of stuff from ebuyer, from my old Radeon 9600 to fan grills, and they have always been spot on. usually my ite4ms come within 2 days like clockwork, even on saturdays when im not paying for a saturday delivery.

They've had a place opposite McVittie's on Stockport Road (A6) for at least a year now in addition to their other one. I should know, I've just carried a base unit back to my house, which is a mile away (teh pain!). They're cool guys there, quieter than the main store, too.
Back on topic, never used Ebuyer, but I'm always wary of returns issues, so it's Microdirect whenever possible for me.

I ordered a logitech g5 mouse from ebuyer and recieved a microsoft wireless mouse! I had to wait a week for them to send the right mouse in the end. Was very annoying. They must be having problems, suffice to say I wont be buying from them again. ------------- My Video: Start wearing purple while being very nasty |

I buy very little online because of frequent problems like this. Usually they have a disclaimer saying they will send something equal if the item is not in stock. It always ends up being somehting that isn't remotely equal and on more than one occasion, I've known of items being sent that are actually a downgrade from the item the buyer was trying to upgrade in the first place.
I have no worries now, I live 10 minutes drive from a supplier who gives me trade prices.

Had no probs with eBuyer or Overclockers.
Main jibe I've had is with CityLink, their courier. Staff are rude, unhelpful, and generally ****e.

Never had a problem with Overclockers or eBuyer, the only place I've had issues with is aria.co.uk. I ordered something from them but had to cancel it, and they still charged me for it and held the money for over a week before returning it. --------------
