I'm beginning to think that CCP must be experiencing time distortion associated with going near the speed of light where their perception of the passage of time is greatly slowed down or wait, maybe really accelerated and it's us that's going the near speed of light, wait, im confused, this always confuses me, or maybe they're just full of it.

I didn't demand a reboot. In fact, if you read my other new thread, you will find that I solved my problem and was happily playing the game. |

It was more like half that time.
At least I helped a fellow corpmember get some of his minerals out of a belt, and just as I began to warp away, the server goes down. Thankfully I won't be blown up by the random spawn of npcs since My ship should be floating in deep space. |

And Zezman, btw, a guy tought me how to chainkill/harvest/milk about 1 month before you started posting in forum about it.
And he probably knew about it long before that so roll over, wooff...

I can't believe you brought that up. I thought the issue was dead and buried.
BTW... my corpmates tell me that zezzing still works, with a few hitches.

I think it was actualy 12 minutes, but the extreme load and lagg on the server basically caused it to appear like 7 or 8, since the message took half a week to arrive on your client

Don't bet on it - yesterday I was outside a station when the server went down. On reboot I was in an asteroid belt with 10 npc pirates very close and firing (the 30k kind).

It's stupid for a GM to say "the servers will be brought down in X minutes". Who knows how much delay there was between when they wrote that and when it hits your screen, and if you happen to be afk, when you read it.
The proper notice would say "the server will be reset at XX:XX GMT". Simple and to the point.
