i for one am very pleased that Lordi won, been a fan for quite awhile now :) they are indeed bloody brilliant!

The fact why you are comparing the 2nd guitarist of AC/DC to another band's singer and head figure is totally beyond me. Not much of a case.
If you're trying to compare vocalists, the names you're probably after are Bon Scott and Brian Johnson.

Lordi was great!
Im also very proud of Sylvia Night, her being in character for over 10 days is truly amazing. Never a dull moment. Just too bad many didnt get that she was acting the whole timeand got offended.
Everytimei see her I remember when she paid CCP a visit and asked one of the devs:
" Were you born a nerd, or did you just give up midway through life"
Was hilarious.

Heh. You really must be a bit bad with names since Angus doesn't sing either. Again, it's either Bon Scott ( died 1980 ) or Brian Johnson ( 1980 -> Present ).
In general, Lordi didn't win the contest with the best song or the best musical performing. It was all about the brand, the big monster-show and the fact that it was a big FU to the stagnant and conservative concept which the Eurovision song contest represents.

The only reason I watch Eurovision is for Wogan. He is so damn funny. Especially when they went to Albania or wherever it was and the presenter guy looked like he was asleep. Awesome stuff.
I thought Lordi looked the ****z until they started playing. I was expecting some black metal or something. I guess they wouldn't have got nearly as many votes if they'd done proper metal though. They still rule though!

remove the UK entry and allow England, Scotland, Wales and NI instead
and lets face it, lordi did a typical eurovision style song, they just growled it and replaced the synthesizers with guitars
