You have a choice. You can become involved and become a number, or you can become an observer of the stupidity. I see it as a social experiment as to wether people can live an enclosed space civiliy, which obviously they can't. This is what makes it fun to watch.

Not exactly a fair social experiment is it? Only complete idiots would volunteer for it. --------------------------------------------------------------------

The first show was quite interesting when the people on it had no idea what interest there was on the outside and it was a new concept.
I haven't watched since then and have no wish to (and I actually don't own a TV anymore after deciding to get rid of it)
The original crowd were not as much a bunch of attention-seeking idiots as their successors. They actually had interesting enough characters and the housemates' interaction with eachother and the viewer involved more than seeing who could expose the most flesh.

It sucks because sometimes you can get some cartoons or boxing on channel 4 late at night but now it's gonna be nothing but live footage of people sleeping.

Aren't they both BBC programs? Not that I'd mind, anything is better than Big Brother tbh.
The first one was quite interesting - they had some good and bad people in there from all walks of life. After that they just started chucking in people that would apeal more to their key demographic, i.e. a couple of people who are likely to sleep around, someone with a drinking problem, someone who is an arrogant nubtard, and so on.
It wouldn't be so bad, but we have to pay ú9 a month for all the **** that's on TV... and for what? So I can watch the occasional good thing that's on >_<

if only it were that easy, you get bombarder with BB stuff wherever you go, its on the radio, in the newspapers and plus our lass watches it so its on the TV wether i want it to be or not i dont tend to watch alot of TV myself, but BB is forced upon you and there is nothing you can do to avoid it

big brother is reality TV, but it sux if nothing real happens, as all you see is people stuck in a house, there is always the nic eone the bad one the *** one the tran one the straight one the bi one, the black one the white one the asian one, and so on, all that to try and clash diferent people on live television, but they don;t should they? no. so hey, same her ei havent watched tv for over a year, dont have one in my room either. until last night when the champions league amtch was on.

After last year, I thought they couldn't get a bunch of more inbred, sociopathic, 'gifted', and bizarre members of the public.
I was wrong.
It's really a concern that people like that are allowed out on the streets.

I cant watch this sort of tv without becoming depressed and or angry. I'm not a fan of seeing humanity at its worst plastered upon the TV. I actually think its a sign of the times and see the people who enjoy watching that sort of TV as part of the problem.
Get a Life you saddos.
I dont watch TV anymore, Its all complete tripe and i dont fancy hunting for hours through umpteen channels looking for a programme that will interest me because its mostly a futile exercise. I only turn it on anymore to play the console or watch a movie.
American TV is by far the worst offender. What we have here pales in comparison. Everything is over dramatised she said what *boom boom* slow motion as she gives her a bad look *boom boom* Then they'll talk about 'that look' for another 3 hours.
TV caters for the masses of this world - The Stupid!

I heard they where puting a cow into the BB house this year? It gets lamer every year, there will come a point of saturation when they run out of wierd senarios to put people through. Untill then we'll have to put up with it.
The only TV I watch now is the news, wildlife programs and star trek. (sad I know but not as sad as BB) _______________________________________________

It absoloutly kills channel 4 and e4 while it's on though, which is a real shame cause they have to move the good programs to make room for BB.
From what my mate told me they've gone all out on the 'get as many freaks and weirdos into a confined space as possible' strategem. Should make for some interesting viewing if your so inclined.

I absolutely dispise Big Brother is the first 4-6 weeks. After that, pretty much all the complete idiots are gone and it becomes alright to watch.

I Don't own a TV. the only thing I'll want to watch (the grand prix races) I'll see on a friend's tv.
But I saw the contestants for this debacle, and I honestly felt sorry for them, and saw a bunch of insecure, desperate, shallow, vain idiots who want thier 15 minutes of fame, while people gawp on at them.
I really felt sorry for them... poor buggers

I dont bother with TV but I have a much better plan for Big Brother type shows.
Firstly use an island were internatonal law does not get in the way of the social experiment.
Then do stuff like drop food supplies in one part of the island and then weapons in another part and ammo for those weapons in another part of the island. Then infect all the members of the show with a debilitating but not fatal infection and drop the cure for this infection in another part of the island.
The resulting viewing from this show would, I belive, be the largest reality TV show audience in the history of RTV shows.

I dont watch TV at all anymore.. so its all the same to me tbh.. but I cringe walking past the TV when the housemates are watching that drivel...
