Lil Jess, someone called his house months ago, FYI. And it's not so much 'bashing' as it is friendly fun-poking. Malka is a character, an alt made by an older player to explore a 'dark side'.
Maybe not everyone has the point of view that I do which is "Life is a game". So if someone called me about Eve, I'd think it's pretty funny. Especially if they made threats. I figure I can take anybody who's unbalanced enough to let a game upset them that much.
And come on, I like Malka, and am gratefull for some of the excellent posts he's done. But this whole "I'm an Evil Pirate"/"I'm quitting because people are mean" crap is for the birds, IMHO.
Of, course, I don't know that that's why Malka quit, so I apologize in advance if I'm way off. ---

I don't Malka at all. I read his posts but never spoke or have seen him ingame but I can see one thing absolutley clear: Everyone bashing him here wouldn't have the balls do it in his face, in-game or IRL. So **** off and leave an upstanding member of the community with some ******* decentcy.

I found 'her' to be a crazy female wierdo. Now it turns out Malka was an even crazier male wierdo.
'Become an object of fear to everyone in EVE' and 'decimate entire regions' my ass. If there wasn't this phone call story my guess would have been he got locked in mental care with no internet connection.

No duff, the Malka hate stems from how rude he is. I remember once messaging him about why he was insulting other peoples pirating techniques and he started to belittle me and act like I was below him. To top it off he started bragging about how he was 'old when Tank CEO was young'. Theres no mystery to Malka, just some dude who likes to roleplay.

What does he roleplay? Someone who has absolutley no idea how to fit a ship for PvP?

Malka's attitude was always a bit off normal, but i respect what he did with writing guides and such on the forum. The phonecall thing would have ****** me up too.

You have obviously never had the privilege of facing off against Malka or anyone else in Suffoco Noctis if your are going to say Malka had no idea how to fit out a ship. As someone whos had the honor of being a test subject for some of his setups, I can say first hand they are very effective.

Malka could scan down, warp in and kill someone before I even knew what system I was in.
Really sad to see such an awe inspiring PvPer and great teacher go.

I used to kinda like Malka - he /she was trying something new, asking for help and helping others at the same time.
Then his ego got to him
All these newer pirates started to look up to him for helping them with his guides (which I don't really remember happening to Parm) and then his ego exploded. He belittled everyone, didn't accept anyone elses point of view other than his own and was generally being an arse.
You used to be cool Malka...

These have been the best two months of EVE I've ever had. I have Fade Routha, Hashim, Sicex, Aria and Orange to thank for that. But most of all, it's because of Malka.
Thank you for sharing, teaching, helping.

Then his ego got to him
All these newer pirates started to look up to him for helping them with his guides (which I don't really remember happening to Parm) and then his ego exploded. He became a 'celebrity' and decided to act like some Paris Hilton wannabe (excuse the terminology, it's probably not the best but it's the easiest way I can think of conveying it). He belittled everyone, didn't accept anyone elses point of view other than his own and was generally being an arse.

edit: if that time when you suddenly changed was something to do with RP or something similar, I don't think anyone except a few of your close friends got it. If it was some kind of weird sociological experiment, meh
One time I posted a question about beam vs. pulse in a Malka thread. He convoed me the next time I was ingame to correct me. It was an informative convo...but he talked to me as if he were an adult telling a 5 year old that eating paint chips is bad. Online he's the uber pro who will tell lesser players what the game is all about so they can suckle pure skillz from his teat of wisdom, in real life he's probably either:
A. a 300-lbs. programmer acne beast
or
B. a weirdo Goth musician despising all who roam the daylight
But I congratulate Malka on being good at video games. For whatever that's worth.

Malka's a good person, talked to him on TS and ingame a few times, and conversed with him and his corp on E-G very often. He really just wants to teach people how to be better in the game, and goes to extremes to do that which is good, considering the level of help that most people give to the newbies.

The hater has arrived..
I liked Malka Badi'a, he was the only person I know that if you disagreed with something he said or some idea he came up with, that he would take it seriously enough and personal enough to convo you in-game and accuse you of being a troll or mocking him.
Malka Badi'a was the queen of pirates in his mind, a beacon of light for the uninventive swarm of noobs that obsessed over their daily tasks of killing small cruisers and posting long winded/boring stories about them on websites and forums such as these forums and EVE-Pirate.com. These noobs, who I will call the new age pirates.
Malka Badi'a was better known for taking already well-established setups and making long winded, fancy and colorful posts about them. These posts including philosphies and techniques and back stories which were mainly paragraphs detailing the strategies called 'common sense' with large words and long unconclusive sentences. Sometimes he even grouped complex words together in which their definition had no real connection to the context. In other words, he used big words just to use big words. For this, noobs worshipped him and loved him.
Some of his followers were not noobs, but most of the people who 'worshipped' him were younger than he was. Eventually he established a role-playing persona and also a constantly inflating ego which he was underseving of.
People will always say 'Malka Badi'a did more for the piracy community than anyone could dream of doing.' and I would merely answer, 'For thinking for the people who would not think for themselves, for pointing out common sense when others could not be bothered.'
Malka Badi'a, in your mind you might be the greatest thing to the piracy community and in the minds of the hordes of 2005.05+ players who fly their triple stabbed battleships bragging about each battlecruiser kill they get, but in the mind of any experienced player, you're just a egostistical weird role-player who is stuck on himself. --------
