Hi all,
Probably a bit of a n00b question, but I am not able to find out how to put 'R.A.M' modules/tools to good use.... or if it's even something besides a 'regular' trade item.
How can I use the various robotic assembly modules or R.DB items? Can they speed up my manufacturing time? Or decrease costs? And how can I install such items, if even possible at all!

R.A.M.s and R.Dbs are needed for Tech2 production and blueprint copying/research.

Okay, thanks for the info so far! But do you need to 'install' those modules somewhere? Or is it enough to have them in your items/cargo?

items/cargo will do. If i'm correct you need to have them in your cargo/item once starting production/research

You will have no use for the items unless you have a tech 2 blueprint to produce off.

R.A.M are treated as raw materials for tech 2 bps but take a percentage damage rather than used up in the process (unless the percentage damage x number of RAM required >100% in which case you will lose some of them). It is possible to buy limited run t2 bpc sometimes but you will need various skills at high levels to make them so for the moment either refine them or sell them. Mind you i think you'll find most t2 manufacturers have the RAM bpos and build their own.
R.Db are used in researching t2 bpos and are therefore definitely of no use to you
