Will there be a price crash because of so much decreased demand, or will it be relatively unchanged because the number of skiffs used for carrier transporting isn't large enough? opinions, numbers, wild speculations, please. ---------

Skiffs are already outclassed by covetors (whose skills are prerequisite for skiffs) in terms of profit/hour in all 0.0 regions that have mercoxit (which implies that ark/crok is on the same belt). It looks like the skiffs were not the best thing that happened in the morphite market since prices of 14k per are already all over the place. Imho, the only thing that keeps skiff prices afloat is the carrier trick. EDIT: don't forget that the owners of all these multiple skiffs in their carriers will have to offload em adding to the problem. I could claim "carebear items are always gold", but there is no mercoxit in empire , so I don't see any salvation a'la stripminer 2. Originally by: Oveur I have access to all market data. Yes it is silly and greatly facilitates 0.0 hauling, but then again with the capship production of motherships and titans all over the place, I don't think that it's necessarily a really bad thing for the moment, what with freighters being unable to dock at POS and whatnot. Devs have more pressing matter to attend to... if this gets fixed it will be MAYBE in the first kali release.So yeah, I saw kathred and chingon bidding against eachother on a skiff bpo, tbh if i had had the free isk at the time, i'd have joined them...

Aeon Yakati	Posted - 2006.05.23 09:27:00 - [16] I agree that carriers and capital ships in general should not be used as isk makers (or isk savers) but at the moment there's far more pressing issues to be fixed, like people losing fighters after crashing, losing fighters because they are 1.50001 meters away and then there's still a whole book of non-capital related bugs. So fix things, but the important ones first please.
