Stealth bombers pretty much had the 'oversized torp platform' gimmick covered, making the Naga a railboat makes sense from a design point of view.
Of course, hybrids need to be made competitive as well but that's a seperate issue. |

Seeing all you people say this astounds me, have none of you actually gone on the Test server?
1) The tornado hands down sucks. Its fast, thats about it, its fitting is gimped to ****. Every other platform easily fits a set of the largest long range guns (Rails, Tachs) but the Tornado requires a fitting mod and at least 1 rig, probably an implant to back it up, I used 2 ACR rigs. This still leaves it unable to utilize the range its guns have, because you run out of space for fitting anything that would get your lock range out that far.
2) Hybrids own right now. They track crazy good, and at range, rails are holding their own in DPS against Tachs. To give you an example, an Oracle can hold 500 dps at 170km, the Naga holds 600dps at 190km. I'd call that competitive, because with short range ammo they'll be amazing, with HUGE dps numbers.
3) The Naga, fit with web, scram, modest shield tank, and neutron blasters is a BEAST. Its nimble, its fast, and it puts out the hurt like no blaster platform around right now.
Even the Talos, I was amazed at how it handled, and the DPS it put out, its also the ONLY tier 3 BC thats not going to get instantly raped by a frigate (hint the other 3 are pretty much defenseless against frigs).
I never understood why you people make these threads without running any real tests yourselves. You take half done information that you got second hand and you run to the forums and make a stupid thread full of false information, when the smart thing to actually would be to set up a test client and check yourself.

The talos can fit a decent tank, and a cap injector, plus a web and a scram, without running its cap injector it can run all its other systems for 3 minutes, thats guns, mwd, web, scram, hardener, and dcu, all for nearly 4 minutes without touching its cap injector. It can then hold 66 cap 200's in its hold, plus a ton of ammo.
You, are typing as somebody who hasn't done a single testing run on any ship, yet you come on and post about how terrible it is.
Hint: You have no idea what you're talking about, the Talos is a monster. |

Its the only one that can fit a flight of light drones, which doesn't exactly make it immune, but 3 or 4 in a group should have enough drones to drive a frigate off, whereas the when we were testing the others we regularly found Daredevils and Drams soloing one of us while testing.

Last time I checked, which was the Sisi build before this one, the Talos had no drone bay. |

Please god no, its currently in competition with the Oracle as the best of these BC's (the Tornado sucks to fit, REALLY a pain in the ass) with the Talos being the middle ground.
If you split the weapons system on it, it suddenly becomes like every other split weapons boat: Crap.
It will do neither role well, splitting bonuses between the two, and will be out performed in every aspect by either the Talos or the Oracle.

Yes, it's obvious that the Naga is intended to be a sniper and the Talos is intended to be a Blaster Boat... However in practice the Naga is a better blaster ship and a better sniper...
