i hope and think that i am not the only person who have this bug.
the bug look like that, that i cant read the local chat, i can write what i want. the rest in this local can read what i have write but i cant do that.
the local chat is completely clear but i have a scroll bar at the right side.

I've got this too from time to time, and I know others who experience the same issue.
I really do hope this will be fixed soon, because local channel is quite important in some situations.

what i have found out is, it happend when you change the system.
when you open the market or something else (browser, playerinfo) you have there a load symbol like a clock.
now when you jumped in a new system, this symbol rotate and dont stop. until something happend (in a empty system someone jump in or you want to chat in local) and then the local chat doesnt update and it stop to load the local chat.
i hope you have enough info about that, when not tell me what more info you need or when my english is not understandable, say that

Barsei while the forum post is nice for showing the problem to the rest of the players, a BugReport is a better way to get the attention of the BugHunters so the problem can be fixed. If you don't know what is needed for a proper BugReport, follow this link to get more info on filing one.

guys, just DISABLE the player pictures in the chatwindow (you got three options.. large pics, small pics and NO pics)
go NO-PICS and you wont get a buggy local.
(i dont have those player pics and i NEVER EVER got that bug)

And that isn't the point. Just because disabling a feature doesn't cause the bug does not mean it will go away on it's own. It still needs to be reported, so a fix can be made, or atleast looked into.

I tried that. 2d now didn't get a local bug but I still get the same bug in gangchat.

i get it sometimes on tq. but however i have not experienced this on the test server. so it looks like it's fixed

i think there is one question solved.
the player pictures scroll bar is bugged and at sisi there are rare players.
to realy test this bug out, there should be in 2 systems something like 10 players per system in and then jump between this systems for lets say half a hour.

I have same problem, but one thing is wierd ppl i have added in adressbook can i see write in chat but only them and corp members.
I try reinstall eve but i have same problem
What can i do ? ... Eve not answer on my petition and i canŠt play... help

its an issue with the size of your char window , certain sizes will never bug while others will almost be garunteed to bug during a 20jump trip.
