Hey guys,
I logged onto this alt today and figured I'd look at some ships I might train him for and noticed that the Traits tab in the ship info panel had been changed too include Ship Characteristics now this shows the Ship Size, Role, Weapon Types and Tank Type.
I just want to know as too why this is needed? being as players should already know the ships and what they do and new players I thought were told what ships use both weapon and tank wise in the tutorials (correct me if I'm wrong there)
and if that's the case why are they now also displayed on this panel doesn't it maybe break part of the game as in the fact of you have to retain look up some ships too know what you need too engage or use these ships?
I do feel like this is really dumbing down EVE and tbh that is a disappointing thing IMO

I don't think I understand your issue OP. You are still free from fititng a ship in any way you feel like it. Hound with reinforced bulkheads? By all means.

Well, sadly, the most often reason I have heard for 'Why I am not playing EVE?' was 'eve is hard'. Dumbing EVE will be a natural process to get more people I am afraid.
Although it's good. More people to shoot, natural selection will occur. No difference to me, I like the changes. All of them.

I understand the whole "EVE is hard" and the fact that CCP want more Subscribers, I just saw it and
A: Wanted to know why.
B: Get other players thoughts on it being introduced

No one who has tried has ever regretted it.
I once dropped a Hull tanked Velator into a fight (DC2 and RB2) and was the only one to make it out alive. I still get goosebumps thinking about it.

Well with the new faction and officer bulkheads and T2 hull rigs you can make an even meaner hull tanked domi :D
Hull repper still sux big time though.
