Actually minmatar starship engineers are very clever, seeing as they have managed to find a way to make metal rust in space.

Always seems appropriate to blast Immigrant Song on my headphones while YOLO in my Rifter. I rather like the rust theme but you're right.. I don't find the solar panels particularly appealing.

What would you suggest the Minnie theme should be?

If you spray clear coat over rust, it makes it shiny.

Damn, this is a shame. Someone should really get ontop of developing a new look for Minmatar. Wouldnt want you to fly something that isnt completely visually appealing to you persoanally.

The rust is a large, beloved actually, part of the minmatar identity.

Got to trust in the rust.

It should still look like it's make-shift technology from a down and out race, but not rusty. Maybe more of a mottled pale grey caldari-ish theme.

As for the solar panels, small glowing nuclear reactors spewing out heat every so often (like the smoke stacks) would be interesting.

Most of the 'panels' are semi transparent which doesn't make for a very good light collector. I personally think the 'panels' are radiators for heat dissapation. Explains the lines running through them.
