Useful info for you,

Now what i have tryed to fix,
Emptyed cache always a gd one Reinstalled eve Disabled any and all firewall's waited for this DT to come and go and yet the error persists
In another 2-3 hours i can installing eve on a different computer to see if that will help

Try to ping the eve server IP address? If you get a reply then you know something is blocking the eve port. Just a thought.
I'm on a BT connection here too and it's been working fine.

The Wlan was installed 3 weeks ago now, and its a really crap router if im being honest, ive gone over every option it contains its not blocking the port.

if you can ping it, but cant connect to it, then it's quite clear it's a port problem -

I get the exact same screen 3-4 times a week, eve will drop connection, and the login screen will report the server is down even tho my other PC is happily still connected.
The only way I can get back on is to reboot the PC.
Looks like a code/install/hardware problem to me? rather than my ISP.

Try restarting your router. I have the occasional problem where I can't even go to websites all of a sudden, but I can get still go to certain ones fine. There should either be an option to restart, or simply pull the plug on it. EVEBay

you probably had a firmware upgrade...
BT is a huge isp and plenty of people play eve through it
check out your hardware router config
there must be an ip, and you can check the ports opened/closed
probably a http://some-ip-in-numbers
something starting with 10.0.0
check out the omg user manual, it can help there
then once on the router, checked opened ports, and open the useful ones (i'd be glad to know the Eve ones), opening too much might lead to security problems, opening too few might be problem to access anything
also are you in Wireless? careful with leechers there, some can access your config if they know their stuff... if yes, secure your network then retry -
