How much does the previous 15 missions affect on Storyline? Could one 'tweak' the storyline by doing 14 easy missions (lvl1) and then as last mission doing some lvl3 or other 'hard' mission? Would that give you lvl3 or lvl1 important mission to do?

The mission counting for storyline are dependant of the lvl and faction. So you COUNLNT have a lvl3 Caldari storyline after doing:
15 Caldari lvl 3 AND 1 Caldari lvl 3 OR 15 Gallente lvl 3 AND 1 Caldari lvl 3

Edited by: Noig Lamaroz on 22/05/2006 03:12:16 Umm. Now on what point did I say anything about faction?
All I asked was: IS STORYLINE MISSION LEVEL HOW DEPENDANT ON PREVIOUS 15 MISSIONS DONE?
Now, if you did understand the line in caps - do post your info/opinion - otherwise, stfu?
(I dont give a damn about factions nor 15x lvl3 missions (I know 15x lvl3 gives lvl3 storyline unless things go borked))

There's more than just one typo.
Second, Nulls answer (as can be found from my rather 'spicy' response) is something utterly different babble than what I was after.
If one cant answer to simple question, one better not answer at all.
If anyone gets offended from my possible second post in this thread - well, why dont you joggle to mom and ask if you can go hiding under her skirt?

It's 15 missions straight with a particular agent, unless something has changed recently.

Hear me noob,
I misunderstood your question ? Thats possible, im a damn frenchy guy ..
I run A LOTS of missions and im kinda experienced. i always try to help ppl who need advice and stuff.
I add faction info (knowing you didn't ask for) cuz i saw your young age and so i thought you could welcome that ..
If your a mission runner then train some social skill or maybe you could think about another careeer in EVE, like ganking noob at gate.

And still you manage to amaze me how you get to babble something else than topic ask..
For anyone thinking contributing this thread I'll rephrase..
If I do 7x lvl3 missions and 8x lvl1 missions.. Is the storyline lvl1 or lvl3 or lvl2 or what? What decides what level the storyline is when it's storyline's turn?
(And what comes to those social skills and such - I know they are good and useful skills - I just dont have interest on training 'em knowing I got 5 Charisma.. Lets see when I get Presence IV trained - it will take time tho, it's last on the learning skill list)
And other thing that comes to my "young age". I stopped playing few years ago and sold my char to a friend, if I would have continued playing whole time, that char would now be 25M+ sp (which it actually is, since my friend kept training it) - I had pretty decent Amarr Faction standings with few key corporations high too.. Blame WoW for the break..

A slightly nicer attitude when asking for help wouldn't be amiss

Why won't you do us a favour and stop playing again ? I think EVE is better off without such rude guys like you, that insult people who try to help them. You should be thankful for ANY help the guy above wanted to give you, because with your attitude you don't deserve being helped at all. Go get a life and learn how to behave, then post again.

Read between the line.
"Social skill" as in real human attribute". sarcast...
I totally understand your question at first. Its my explaination that maybe doesn't follow up.
Storyline are independant. If you do 8 lvl 3 missions, 7 lvl 1 mission, and 1 lvl 2 you will not get a storyline at all. You need to have 16 missions at identical lvl to have a storyline as storyline have lvl of difficulty similar to the missions that generated them. So you must have 16 lvl 3 to get a storyline that would be lvl 3 difficult (or easy ). If you run multiple lvl mission you will end up having multiple storyline offer.
Thats where faction enter into the question but ill not talk more about it as it seem to get you out of yourself

Yes and no. I ran a lot of level 3s and did one level 4 agent and got a level 4 storyline, but I've also ran level 4s and one level 3 and got a level 3 storyline mission. I'm unsure whether this is because of the random agent referral, because of the last mission I did or because of something entirely different I do not know about.

Finally..
And Unit.. :-) I wanna thank you for answering the question.. While it still gets contradicted a bit by poster below (above of mine) it still looks better than the contradicting one.. I've allready started to do little research of my own on the matter too..
And then off-topic (or on topic): I wanna sincerely apologise Unit (and others who might have gotten offended) by me jumping quite harsh on few of the first posts.. If you look the time they are posted it's somewhere around 3am game time (+3 to Finland time and I didnt sleep at all that night.. So that's the reason I was bit jumpy (I know, excuses))
Anyway, once again. Thanks and sorry. :)
