I've rather been enjoying my solo pirating, on occasioni venture out with another corp mate in a frig or cruiser, but lately I've noticed I've needed a few more poeple.
Last night I had a Stiletto warp off after I put 2 points down on him. I didn't think I could actualy kill him and I was worried he would kill me before a corp mate came with the light drones.
Turns out his was doing almost NO damage to my little punisher and I was slowly but surely eating into him. Then went my corp mates rocked up, he warped off... with 2 point on him... warped off... no wonder he was doing no damage. Same thing with a maller a little later, 2 points down, casually warps off.
I'm in a frig, fight me, kill me and don't use stabs and I won't have to bring in 1/2 the corp to tie you down, which will end up being a 3sec gank and thats not fun.
I think I'm going to have to get a venegnce just so I can have 4 points :(

It is, sadly, the time of stabs and blobs!
Every encounter contains the risk, that your target has at least one stab fitted, thus making piracy a little harder. But it's not like that all the time...I don't use stabs for instance, so come and hunt me please

My encounters with EDC have been limited to 160km+ sniping gate camps...

No, I'm pretty sure as I fraps it and watched it again. That and he openly admitted it in local.
I just don't get the point of putting stabs on a interceptor, I mean, they not that expensive and you are REALLY gimping your setup... alot.

I doubt it's the cost that makes people stab inties, it'd be more the fact than when your ship gone theres a good chance your pod is gonna go next. When it comes to shiny implants you're better safe than sorry.

Nothing wrong with stabs. People either want to fight or don't. I fit stabs. I enjoy fitting stabs. I'm solo mostly so guess what. I get blobbed. Stabs save me but not from warp bubbles.
I was moving my prophecy south. I had 4 stabs on it with the rest heat sink II's. I saw a rupture in empire and thought "Hey let's play around". I warped in the belt on him. I had beams on because you know "WCS + Heat Sink + Beams = Fun with cruiser Blobs". Soon as I engage I freeze (Im on my womans sucky pc). Soon enough a Cyclone warps in with a webber/scrambler. Hey what do you know the rupture had a webber to. Now, I'm outta here no tank 2 on 1. I set to warp out. Took me like 20 seconds to warp out.
2xWeb + Big Ship + 4xWCS = Dead Ship
I didn't warp because the double web's increased my warp out time. Isn't it funny how 4xWCS with the right modules on me and none of them actually with enough points to hold me can still snag me?

hold up... I was always told never web till you scramble due to the fact that webbing DECREASES the time to warp out as it cuts down your cap speed...thus making it faster to hit the needed speed required to warp.

Buzzard, Griffin, Merlin, Cheetah, Helios, Nemesis, Anathema, Manticore, Cormorant and Stiletto have 4-5 mid slots (Plus others I left out).
-Setup- MIDS : MWD, Warp Scrambler, 2xNamed Racials (Lowest cap)
MIDS : MWD, Warp Scrambler, 3xNamed Racials
MIDS : MWD, Warp Scrambler, Web, 1xRacial
Very powerful setups frig vs frig due to chance and of course if you have the right setup. Common Inty's flown for example is taranis, Crow, then Claw/Stiletto IMHO. Caldari + Gallante Racials = good jam and wins on those 2 racial classes. Claw's sensor strength is low enough for 2xNon-Minmatar Racials to still jam.

I always fit 4 points. You just have to.
2 stabs is standard fitting on almost every ship these days, even frigs

You cannot change safety.
We now live in the age of gatecamps, and to keep the survival rate to a reasonable, people fit stabs.
The noobs have 2 choices
