What is the perfect corporation, in your eyes? What type of government, economic system, and ranking/merit system should it have?
In this question, I am asking for optimal efficiency, maximum potential in all aspects - defense, production and/or means of attaining goods, etc.
In my opinion, I think that a communist-type system works best, but requires a level of trust most people can't attain. However, imagine everyone working completely in unison, to assist each other, giving each other what they needed, when they needed it. The productivity of said entity would be quite high in all things.

The perfect corporation is three-feet tall with a flat head you can set a beer on. No, wait. That was Cheech and Chong's perfect woman...perfect corporation....one that isn't managed by crisis. Crisis management is great. Management by crisis gets old fast. I have sworn upon the altar of God eternal hostility toward every form of tyranny over the mind of man.-á |

There are a few corps that are like this. I'm completely serious, they monitor api's and you give 95-100% of your isk to the corp wallets and have access to lower wallets to do whatever you want with. Large sums could be requested from the restricted storage wallets. They are very quiet and tend to be closed societies, so good luck getting into one. Biggest one i have seen was around 140 people in corp, but that is the exception; most are very small.
For your question - The perfect corp is simply a group of people who get along and like playing with one another.

The very last thing that communism provides is optimal efficiency and maximum potential. You seem to mix up synergy and cooperation with communism. Synergy and cooperation allows your corp members to share resources like blueprints, provide boosts to each other, be more efficient by specializing in different skill groups and so on while communism just redistributes the final products of that efforts equally, which destroys any motivation for individual achievement since the result is already fixed. There might be corp members who don't care at the start that they work 4 times as hard as other corp members who just leech value out of the corp, and they might even stay silent for a week or two for the greater good, but that will change quickly.

That's why everyone wants to become a goon. The only barrier is that you have to be a goon to be a goon.
For the EVE-born there are wormhole corps, which require you to pull your weight with the right ships and skills. POS living is very communal. For more information on the New Order of High-Sec, please visit: http://www.minerbumping.com/

This character's alliance.
It's a delegated dictatorship run by a middle aged British guy, that somehow simultaneously allows the players to pursue whatever path they wish in EVE, and yet has a robust ship reimbursement program for PvP roaming as well as a wormhole corporation. Pretty lighthearted, and we don't take ourselves too seriously, but we have better fleet comms discipline than any highsec alliance I've ever seen.
The only stipulation for membership is that we not engage in too much highsec shenanigans with our alliance affiliated alts. "Verily, I have often laughed at the weaklings who thought themselves good because they had no claws."

Dictators with few exceptions turn out to be mass murderers and/or thieves on an epic scale. Anarchy is the answer you are looking for. (this means rules are decided democratically on as local as possible level . anarchy merely means "no rulers" not "no rules" as often believed) Money at its root is a form of rationing. When the richest 85 people have as much wealth as the poorest 3.5 billion (50% of humanity) it is clear where the source of poverty is. http://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2014/jan/20/trickle-down-economics-broken-promise-richest-85 |

I Believe corps like EVOL are communist based with all ships /assets jointly owned. My own allies Pigrims seem to use a blend of corp owned /individual owned ships. Goons are just the most famous using this system. Money at its root is a form of rationing. My mains corp everyone just throws stuff in the corp hanger when they are finished with it rather than selling it.
Crazy what is floating around Billions in modules and the ship collection has everything from special edition ships to rigged Vindicators. |
