Hey everyone, I am wanting to learn how to FC vanguards, any advice that any of you would recommend? I have watched some youtube videos and read some guides, but I guess it's all trial and error at the end of the day? best way to learn..
Join VG fleets and pay attention to what the FC say and do. Ask question, absorb knowledge. |

You can probably find some information here, https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=206859&find=unread.
Things that keep me up at night;-á Why do we use a voice communication device to send telegraphs? Moore's Law should state,-áOnce you have paid off the last PC upgrade you will need another. |

VGs are extremely easy. NCOs are your best friend. Mining colonies arent too bad either. Stay away from OTAs until you know better. |

tbh just go balls deep, join up with an established group and just get a feel for the sites and what would work best for yourself then |

Well the basics can be learned by flying a couple of hundred(2-3 days) VG sites and watching your FC closely(plus just ask him about some details). It is no that complex at all, if your goal is just to make sure nobody explodes on grid. Running a scout off grid while FCing on grid, developing your own FCing style, predicting other FCs, analysing other FCs fleets, being a fluid contests FC and knowing the ups and downs about fleet compositions is where it gets a bit more complex and where the huge differences in experience and skill in FCing come in to play.
As a general rule, don't trust in logistic players, don't trust in DPS players, don't assume that people will do the right thing when **** hits the fan instead of panicking and assume people will to the wrong thing instead the right thing more often then not. |
