I'd been hunting convoys in Amarr space, and went to dock. docked successfully (no Amarr navy, no sentry gun locks, no problem).
I undocked... and sat there... no control access... nothing.
my corpmate said "why are you in a pod?"... I said WTF?
he said... "you were shooting convoys"
I said WTF?!?!?!?
a minute later, I got control back... in a pod... can't right click, can't system menu click, can't dock... totally screwed.
now can someone tell me how I could have been shooting a convoy, when I'd not even got control of my ship? and can someone please tell me why *ANY* of this should have happened?
yeh, I'm nasty, yeah I'd been killing convoys in the vicinity of this station most of the night... but why should my ship suddenely attack a convoy (and get nuked) when I've not actually got control?
this is the first time I've *EVER* whined about anything... and TBH I never thought I would.
FFS what is going on?

I had something simillar happen, was it the Navy? What is your standing with them?
I thought you were invulnerable when you undocked?

my standing was down to about -3.9 with the amarr navy...
and yeh, we're *supposed* to get 10 secs invulnerablility... when we can't lock, and they can't lock...
but that still doesn't explain why I was seen to be attacking (and hence was attacked) before I got control of my ship!

You were attacking before you got control of the ship?!
I never EVER heard that before.
Is this a known issue? Did you have an auto targetter or something? Sorry grasping at straws here  |

nope, no autotargetter, I don't use stuff like that ;)
and all I can say is that my corpmate saw me attacking, and saw me get dumped in a pod... before I got control of my ship....
we were using TeamSpeak for general hunting operations, and the first thing I knew about it was that he said "why are you in a pod?"

What he likely saw was them firing at you so fast it looked like you were attacking them. And it was also likely the sentry guns nailing you.
Sentry guns now have a spiffy habit of not firing at you as you're entering the station, but waiting till you're leaving. Seems they've been boosted in damage too, because they HURT (200+ damage a shot, every 2 secs).

well, even if I wasn't actually firing... what I'm really ****ed about is the complete destruction of my ship without any chance of doing anything about it.
I was in a pod before I got control... and even when I got control, the UI was completely b0rked....now that is JUST PLAIN CRAP
