Dear Community Team, and others,
Something I am annoyed by for a while now;
*
The Issue
As forum warrior, I have the following issue on forums; Thread-naughts.
They are great if you are a DEV asking for responses, but if you are a user of the forum who want to be up to date on FORUM posts by DEV's in that thread, you have to start with the JUMP TO FIRST DEV POST and then hit the clips of the DEVs a lot to get to the part of the Thread-naught to be updated. To speed this up I have thought up the method of up-voting all replies by DEVs I read, so, I can click the clip each time I see a plus'ed DEV post. It works, but is far from ideal.
Why do I post this here and now?
That easy, with the Summer expansion coming up, we have a lot of Thread-naughts around, and we have still some old forum posts that need DEV attention but are currently filled with flame-wars and the like. Since I like to follow this forum-threads, I would like to be up date on them, but not on all the non DEV posts., I propose another way to get at the DEV posts.
Suggestion
Make it possible to get alerts from DEV posts in forum-threads. A button next to subscribe button with "subscribe to DEV reactions" would be great.
Additionally
It would be great also if you could add a CSM and GM button or integrate them in one.

Sneak
Small sneak, make a colored number in the page-numbers of Thread-naughts, the numbers that list the # of pages. When a DEV posts on that page, make it blue, when a GM does, make it red, etc... so, when you do want to read all reactions, but get bored on page 34, you can decide to read page 38, because a DEV post is on it, and you know that because of the blue number of that page and you will get there without clicking a lot of DEV clips.

Quite like the idea of it, in general, but I'm wondering if the dev tags are just getting too clumsy, when combined with GMs and CSM, then numbers stuck on top.
An alternative idea could be to replace the "Jump to first DEV post" button with navigation buttons (similar to existing thread navigation buttons, but perhaps with a blue colour?) that only cycle through dev and GM posts (undecided about CSM posts - they're not necessarily "official") e.g. << < > >> i.e. First dev post - previous dev post - next dev post - last dev post
