Hi,
i have the following problem: Lets say there is NPC trading-good A which i want to buy. After the downtime its price is 100 isk.
Naturaly other want to buy it too, so i see buyorders for 101, 102 and 103 isk. Now i place my buyorder at 104 isk, but after the downtime the npcs sell to the other orders. Why ?
I just dont get it. The orders ware exactly the same, including min-volume. Only difference is that the other orders are 2x the NPCs volume and my order was just 1x ______________________________

Perhaps someone placed higher buy order which got filled after DT so you didnt notice it? Also is your buy order's range correct? Selling station must be in range of your buy order .

Yep, everything seemed correct :)
I heard somewhere that the NPCs dont sell by highest price, but by time of the order.
Is that true ? ______________________________

If it's true, then this would meen that you are guarranteed to buy the merchandice sooner or later, which is a good thing. Some sort of a qeue system.

Well i would be very surprised if it is true.
Maybe someone placed a buy order at 105 isk one minute or a few seconds before downtime, so you didn't notice it. I sometimes do that, and my order wins

Well i watched it again and paid close attention before the downtime.
You are right: somebody droped a buyorder 5 seconds before cluster shutdown. I have screenshots before and after the downtime.
The strange thing:
Again the 5 seconds-before-shutdown order, which was the highest bid, was ignored!
The old lower order, which still had enough buyvolume active got filled again.
Now i¦m really confused ______________________________

Yeah, it's really weird...
Any veteran here who would explain it to us please??

I'm not really a veteran here, but I did a little bit of testing...

Yes, my orders also don't get noticed if I change them just before DT. However, my change of buy price 5 minutes before DT got noticed today (an enemy buy order was on list which hasn't been touched). So: don't make changes seconds before DT...

Try using the test server for this theory. The live server is far too volatile.

Yup. That is why we need this fix: http://oldforums.eveonline.com/?a=topic&threadID=326959
This DT repop stuff is BS.

How about sell orders? I find that it's easy to place buy orders (to get the NPC goods) but selling them is competitive.
I find that sell orders placed remotely don't work, and remotely modified orders which were modified to beat other sell orders in the queue, don't work with NPC during downtime...
