Miner IIs are only an extreamly rare drop, plus there is barely anyone in the game with prints. The miners themselves cost about 20k worth of minerals to build (if that). The prices will not go down until the tech II print are available to everyone. It won't be much longer, and I'd look into buying CU Vapors to hold you over untill those prints release. Miner IIs only give +11 ore from a CU Vapor. ------------------

Edited by: Demangel on 23/09/2003 18:54:58 Great Idea... Release the rpints so everyone can make thier own Miner II's... and I mean EVERYONE!
Myabe it's just me... But I think we shouldn't have every halfway decent item so easy to make yourself.
When I envisioned EVE I imagined:
Corp A makes This ship, but can't make that ship due to a lack of the BP's...
Maybe I'm not seeing the point, but just how many orriginal BP's of an item are enough?
10? 100? Infinate?
Personaly I like the way Minner II's are playing out I think heheh.
(And no I don't own one, or have access to them).
Galaxion > If you drove a car shaped like a thorax women would call you Demangel > Dude... I would call.. Demangel > wait that sounded g@y I bet. Galaxion > Just a bit.

I agree with demangel. It's better that the miner IIs play out how they are currently moving. I'm glad to see that the people with the blueprints agreed to a set price. I just wish it was like that for the rest of the game. Unlimited copies should have been removed from the game before launch. :) ------------------

Pretty soon everyone who was willing to pay 2.5 million isk for a miner II will have one, and then there will be no demand for miner II's at that price so the prices will have to come down to keep selling. Prices will come down when the market supply starts to catch up with demand. I predict in a few months the prices will have come down significatly. Supply....Demand...simple economics.

Edited by: nails on 23/09/2003 19:10:40 Miner IIs are not selling for 2.5 anymore, they are now 5 million average. I suggest people survive with CU vapors/dual diods till the miner II prices come down. Spending 5 million isk at this point in the game, (especially if you do not have a very large sum of money) Will set you back farther financially than you will gain from +11 ore. It's a change you will barely notice, Miner IIs will lower in price eventually. I reccomend holding off spending you money till miner IIs are lowered in price. And like Arthur said, it won't be like this forever, people will keep buying, and buying miner IIs till the game is fairly filled with them.

I don't know why people who fear capitalism so much play a game based on a free market economy.

Perhapse the reason ppl here don't like capitalism is that they come from socialistic economies . Actually, I think it is the lack of competition that is making ppl mad. Only a select few large corporations have the bleuprints and the pathetic way in which CCP dolled them out borders on criminal. How many of us non-Stain Alliance members had access to their space to get one? I think we know the answer to that. Also, not many of us get one handed to us from GM's either. Hell, I would have settled for getting some compensation for the numerous battleships I lost due to CTD's. But, not being a teachers pet (IE Mega corp) I and others like me get the shaft.

Socialism?????
Dude, I live in USA.
There is law here prohibiting any kind of monopoly.
And monopoly is almost anything (just look at Microsoft troubles), and you have burden of proving that you are not monopolizing something when somebody points finger at you.
Situation here is rather drastic.
Prices where 2.5, then it was just 1000 mega for 3 miner2s (situation that was good only for big corporation and for jackasses looking to sell them at higher price).
Its been going down for now a long time and CCP should at least put dozen new infinite BP out there to give these reptiles some of their own medicine.
I personaly did not buy any miner2 and after all these is over will not buy ever again anything from these people and Techell will never get an ISK of my business. |
