Edited by: JakeTheSnake on 28/05/2006 21:35:05 I've got 4 characters doing R&D with the 5 top level 4 agents for each of their divisions.
The first two characters are doing rocket science, 5 agents each.
The second two characters are doing rocket science, 5 agents each.
All agents were started roughly at the same time almost a year ago, so the RP between all 4 characters is very equal.
Both rocket science researchers have had numerous (up to 10) t2 ammo offers, mainly rockets, also projectile ammo.
Both high energy physics researchers have never had an offer, not even any type of t2 ammo, even though the agents say they give it out, i dont believe for a second its just plain luck that the rocket science chars had 10 offers and the high energy physics had none atall, something has to be broken and ccp arnt aware of it.

so terrible for you, to have such awsome luck in some things and the same luck as almost everyone else in another...

Note all 10 bpos were ammo bpos, most of them small ones and worth less than a bill.
I'm not making this post to show how lucky or not i am, i believe it is strange that rocket science gave out 10 t2 ammo bpos and high energy physics gave none.

I think this thread is just showing how flawed the system is.
1 Person, 4 researchers, 20 R&D agents. And they dont have to do anything except sit on their ass the entire time and maybe check their alt's mail every week.

These agents didnt just magically start working for me, i had to spend ages grinding up to almost 7.0 standing with the research corp to even get the agent to talk to me, and i had to spend a few months training skills to get a decent amount of rp/day.
So yes, i dont have to do any work now, but i sure had to do a bucket load of work initally. Anyone who bothers to do research missions will get twice the chance to get a bpo too.

Erm, sorry i made a mistake when i first made this post, i said all 4 characters are doing rocket science, that was a typo, the two characters doing rocket science won me all the bpos, the other 2 are doing high energy physics and have won nothing atall.

I have 2 R&D chars too dude, i know its not hard at all to train them up. both of mine have 5 agents, and the field they are in @ level IV. Took maybe 2 months on each to get them to that point, and thats a over estimate. (and its even easier now if someone wants to, COSMOS boosts ur standins like hell, and you can start an achura with science V, research IV )
And if the gm's do decide to take a look at the fields, look at graviton physics aswell, ive had nothing out of it over a year.

I might know why... high energy physics is a crowded field just like all the starship engineering fields... why? Because thats where cap recharger II's, and the like would drop...

thats still like 100x the luck the vast majority of people have with R&D.
ONE crappy ammo BPO is better than most people get.

Actually i heard that cap recharger 2 bpos came from electronic engineering.

it is still well within chance that this would happen, there may be more people using the high energy physics agents and so the same amount of RP is worth less. Also, given the amount of people using R&D agents, chances are, that there will be some people with a lot of offers and some people with few offers or none
