I asked this question about 6 months ago, and had some very good answers, with some in-depth math. For the record, I fly a crusader with a snake set (still missing a high grade gamma (have a low one) and a snake omega). I do 9876 k/s with a gisti mwd. Shoudl go up to around 13-14 k with a complete snake set, and that is without any gang modules.

Not that i doubt you for any specific reason, just to my mind the added mass of a cruiser AB would kick the top speed down. Also if a crow can indeed do that, a crusader should be able to do it beter due to higher base grid and lower mass. Also, assuming its doable, why not find yourself a nice faction 10mn AB and toddle off for a place in the eve speed records. Edit: @ Ethyn. The oversized MWD really sucks the cap uot of the Command Ship, so you'll need to use and injector plus charges to achieve top speed. Sex0r > you're bounty turns me on.. you seem like the kind of amarrian to dominate me

Degale	Posted - 2006.05.30 01:15:00 - [18] Crusader is the fastest ship in eve Vigil is the fastest tech I ship, and even faster due to a bug where it gets +5% speed per min frigate level. shuttles are the fastest without any mods. The vigil has 3 Hi 3 Mid and 3 low. It has a drone bay, good speed, better cpu and powergrid than its tech II varient. It is awesome for its 100k pricetag. OOO and a target painter bonus.
ChronoLynx	Posted - 2006.05.30 02:24:00 - [19] Fastest Ship in the game atm is a Command Ship with all Nanofibers, Snake Implants, the MWD Speed Skirmish Warfare Module, and the best 100mn MWD in eve atm. I believe I could get an Astarte up to about 17km/s. With current fittings and lack of snakes it goes 10km/s, great for bumping afk miners. Elitest Carebear with Fangs and Claws

It has 1 less low, but makes somewhat up for it with 20m/s higher base speed and more importantly it is 8% lighter than the other CS. Maybe being lighter doesn't matter as much with oversized MWD, haven't done the math yet. But your gona need one of those anyways for maximum efficiency of skrimislinks (rapid depolyment) so it would be ideal if it was actually the fastest ship..

Before you all bash me now "how the **** is that as great as making 15 km/s": While it may not be the speed record, you loose no more than 10.000 ISK insurance premium when being blown up, you can actually make a tiny bit of profit when you buy the ship and mods at good prices Its IMHO the ultimate n00b char 0.0 travel setup.
